    Nothings changed then.

    My HT swift after three years is bone dry.

    the 10 year warranty against water ingress would have sent Bailey to the wall

    Not really as the cost of remedial work will be worked into the cost of purchase since they know, from their records the average cost of remedial work

    Mine is a 4 year old Bailey Cartagena 3 caravan owned from new and serviced annually. I now have a leak above left side of bed in cupboard directly below the roof join and roof strip. Now waiting for warranty work. Another fine top of the Range Bailey product!!

    I never understood the logic in creating a roof joint my Unicorn 1 only had a joint at the back panel.

    But it still leaked into the floor in the front lockers after 6 years the underside (outside) was rotting so i got shut quick, shame as the U1 was a real luxury caravan inside.

    I don't see me ever buying a Bailey again despite having two in the past, our Senator was dry after 7 years.

    You know that there is a water ingress issue with bailey caravans when the main

    dealer keeps a spare roof sealing strip in stock!!

    My 2016 cartagena 3 is now in for warranty work after he roof joint has started to leak all over ths bed!!!!

    Bryn, you were 'lucky' to get 4 years out of it.  My Bailey rubbish started leaking through the roof aged 2 years. 

    I still cannot believe they could inflict on the public a product range so poorly tested that its roof leaks after just 2 years!  

    The interior fit & finish was also poor compared to my Auto-Trail which replaced it, eg. interior window gap rubbers fitted too tightly stretched, so continually coming adrift and lifting out of place, various wood veneers peeling away, shower compartment poorly sealed, etc, etc.  A shoddy build standard all round. 

    Never again will I touch another "half-baked Bailey".

    Were on the same page hear. I to have given up with bailey and although they stung me for £25k for a half baked Bailey. I to will never purchase another Bailey Caravan.

    I have a 5 year old Coachman VIP bought from new no problems what so ever more expensive yes but you only get what you pay for

    Thats just what i was thinking when i paid £24k for a cartagena 3 caravan that has just leaked after 4 years. Clearly the argument is not  " you get what you pay for"!

    Getting caravan parts is always a nightmare. Had a lovely person crowbar our door off the van when in the south of France. Taped up to get back to uk then took 3 months to get a new door. Dealers fitted it within 12 hours of receiving it but most of the season was missed thanks to the delay.

    As anyone had any damp problem with series 4 bailey ours is two years old but we have not been ini it for 14 months because of corna we did have it serviced may last year no damp we had to go down last weekend because we were informed our alarm was going off nothing untoward but it did smell a bit damp .bit worried as our two year old lunar was written off because of 80% damp

    The decline in quality of Lunar caravans from about 2010 was dramatic. My Lunar Delta is a 2007 model and remains as dry as a chip. It will last us as long as we remain caravaner's, as nothing impresses us with new caravans, they are only newer as we have all the toys in ours. It seems that all caravans now have water ingress problems irregardless of the price, which also suggests things have not changed much. Personally I think the industry treats the customers as suckers.

    I to have had issues with my 2016 Bailey Cartagena 3, poor build quality and quality control unfit for purpose!

    We recently had a small leak from the roof.  Apparently, the roof strap problem has occurred on a number of caravans.  Our dealer did a temporary repair until the new part arrived.  It was only a very small leak which was sorted completely.  It did take about 8 weeks for the part to arrive.  The temporary repair appeared to solve the problem but all is sorted now.
