Update.
My 2016 Pegasus Series 4 Brindisi work is underway, yahoo, replacement part eventually arrived "Roof strap replacement Kit" So collection set for Monday 20th, fingers crossed that will be a dry van again as I like the layout and the interior build quality, far more solid (no pun intended) that my 2014 Elddis. Many thanks for the comments happy caravanning to all and defo looking forward to getting out and about again.

I have to agree with Merve and WW, it is the shoddy workmanship that in the majority of cases causes these faults. Our Bailey M/H has had 7 warranty issues, all of them can be put down to shoddy workmanship. Many makes of vans see these issues, but rarely does it affect the whole make/model, so can be put down to an individual workman/woman not doing a good job, pride in work is something that sadly is a thing of the past for some.

Sorry mate but the numbers angle does,nt wash i,m afraid just because you are the biggest of a handfull of makers it does,nt give you the right to turn out sub standard products because you know that you are going to get away with it in most cases. And if we go down the numbers route then for every complaint there are probably a dozen that just dont bother and fix it themselves.Like i,ve said many times if they were makeing cars they would have gone out of business years ago.

Caravan problems are not one issue, but more than one, and each make and model will have different issues due to different factors.
1/ insufficient sealant, or faulty incorrect sealant used.
2/ sealant not correctly applied.
3/ poor design factors, an example was my Bailey Unicorn 1. The method of construction lead to a poor sealant joint at the front, and also leaks around the entire floor due to the side wall panels not overlapping the wood floor sufficiently.
Another is the U2 shower which relies on mastic to prevent leaks to the floor.
Then the latest is the roof joint on the U3, lack of mastic, poor design, take your pick.
4/ internal fitting problems due to poor workmanship, lack of any real quality checks, or not using the correct fixings.

After reading all the above comments on bailey caravans it is very worrying as i bought a new brindisi june 2016.
Up to press had a couple of small issues which dealer (wanda homes south cave) fixed promptly including the poor new dreamsleep system (new cushions/ back boards.
Looking forward 2017 with interest, hopefully with no problems.

I bet any supplies they get go to making new vans to sell first! They would not stop production to give a dealer a part.
I have a GT65 that has two damp patches and the van is not 3 years old! So I am going to be right down the list waiting for parts.

I wrote a personal letter about such issues, (having bought 2 new Bailey's), to the CEO of Bailey and he said......nothing. Zilch, absolutely bugger all! The care that company offers its customers is disgusting. Really shocking. I run my own business and if I treated my customers with the contempt they show theirs. But no worries, next year they'll introduce a new heated toilet seat and you'll all be queueing around the block for a new Unicorn Bognor Regis.

Hi all, certainly this post caused some venting of Bailey's customer service, but I cant fault my dealership, Perthshire Caravans, once they got the part issue was fixed promptly and they took appropriate care to explain the issues so just happy to have the van back all repaired looking forward to getting out in it again. First rally booked already Appears the main issues was lack of appropriate sealant in the construction on the production line.

You are not alone my friend. Unicorn 3 Seville.. just had first service & van is only 12 months old ..... list of issues with this, most so far repaired by the great team at Venture caravans, Daventry.
3 front large panoramic window
2 offside & soon 2 nearside front windows
3 off side seat bases (sagging)
All soft close drawers realigned
Awning strip light (several LED's already gone out)
BBQ point (recall)
Solar panel not working (red wire from panel not connected)
shower leaking ( going back in again )
Roof joint now leaking (off side above fridge in cabinet /parts ordered)
Front nearside window now leaking, water pooling onto top of centre chest cabinet & running off onto seat bases soaking it, getting under bottom curtain rail & possibly into plug sockets.
Problems arise almost weekly now & by far the worst piece of junk I have owned. Have had the standard reply from Bailey saying how "sorry" they are Blah blah .... but can you take it to your local dealer to sort? These poor service guys have as much time in it as we have had holidays. Another soon to be EX Bailey owner !

Get my woodless construction caravan tomorrow.
After 6 years of damp to the floor on my U1, i can confidently say no more ingress to the floor for me.
The U1 didn't have that roof joint, stupid idea to introduct it IMO, i believe all the U3 will have to have a modifield strip fitted, so probably a delay due to the huge demand for the part.

My unicorn 3 Seville ... or should that be Sieve ille .... has at least
4 leaks. Firstly the shower ( now hopefully fixed) ... the dreaded
& expected roof joint (parts on order), front nearside window &
now also floor area under & around the BBQ point ! You need
a good supply of rags & kitchen roll, if you are the unfortunate
owner of one of these awfully put together pieces of JUNK !

Got a 2015 Bailey pursuit 420/4 Jive. Sprung a leak right in the roof seam by shower rm door corner. Water trickling down the inner wall. Booked it in today with white Arches - I live in hope! Please tell me Bailey and their dealers have sorted out roof seam repairs 😡. Don’t want to be parted from my Buddy for long.
wish me luck - any advice greatly appreciated

We have a Pegasus Ancona IV.
Had same issue with leaky roof and ongoing issues with so called Dreamsleep (or Dreamslip as I call it as the seats slip forward and prevent opening of front drawers).
Roof now repaired (2nd time round) and hopefully sorted.
Seats repaired once, but still slip and most uncomfortable seats have ever sat on.
We have owned 4 new caravans, our first Bailey, and whilst I like layout, I will not be buying another one. Build quality appaling for near £20k purchase price.

From the outset of this CC ( CMC ) forum and others, there has been considerable adverse feedback about Bailey Caravans regarding water ingress. ( we won't mention wheels falling off or other build quality issues.)
I'm slightly surprised that, in the light of those customer experiences and feedback, that Bailey products are still considered by some, when choosing a caravan.
Personal responsibility has to come into the equation. Careful product research is a great help when choosing a van which will meet the prospective buyer's requirements.
