CL type site Beaumont Hamel, Somme

A few years ago we stayed at a CL type site run by an English couple . It had a large barn with reclaimed bits from WW1 ( found in the local fields). It was close to Hawthorn Crater and Sunken Lane. Does anyone know if it is still open.

Thanks.

Could it be what is now 'Avril Williams Guest House' or Ocean Village Team Rooms, which is west of Beaumont Hamel?

    Friends have been there.

If not, then as she's been there a long time I'm sure she'll be able to help identify 'your' farm.

I have been looking at sites around the same area.  There is nothing listed that I can find at Beaumont Hamel.

The municipal site on the edge of Albert is very good.  We stayed there last year when visiting Thiepval and The Ulster Tower.  The majority of pitches are massive and well laid out with easy access to electricity and water at the corner of each pitch.  It is a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of Albert.  We rode our bikes to Thiepval/Ulster Tower without any problem.

Nearer to Thiepval, there is an independent site, Camping Bellevue at Authuille.  Did not go in so do not know what it is like.
