Alcohol? Madness? High spirits? It happens all the time, Kj. You must have noticed. 🤷🏻♂️

They just do sadly K. That’s partly why local councils have been closing and off loading responsibility for public loos these last few years. The cost of repairing vandalism and damage is just too high.
I doubt if all of those visitors were bothered at all to be honest, probably never crossed their minds what to do when they needed to go. In the sea, someone’s garden, under the pier, in a plastic bag.... all in the midst of the worst pandemic for decades. 🙁

Ah, but they still get most of their bog rolls from China. I think ours are made somewhere like Northampton. I did know but my brain’s been overloaded with trivia these last three months😁
Sobering figures from USA though☹️, and Brazil. 80,000 new cases in 24 hours between them.

I might but it’s unlikely 😜

I do think it’s not surprising, given the respective presidents attitude to the seriousness of the situation. Not withstanding our own governments failings, ‘they’ have at least tried to do the right thing, I think.

I would love to share your rosy tinted view of how things have gone here Freddy, but with the third worst death figures (presently) in the World, I find it hard sadly.

Yes I did miss it, apologies🙂 No, I wouldn’t put them anywhere close to Trump or Bolsanaro.
I think this Summer is going to be very very difficult in a lot of ways. A long way to go yet.

I saw that the other day. Apparently rinsing salted water around your mouth and nostrils can help kill or lessen the virus. It's not an entirely new idea of course. Salt in cooled boiled water is a good solution for cleaning wounds.

Never thought my comment would have led to such a debate. Thanks I live remotely in the mountainside, particularly after the scenes from Liverpool, Ogmore and elsewhere. What has gone wrong since Boris changed the wordings on the Daily Briefing. With new outbreaks and the breakdown in Distancing are we looking at another disaster? Wales now looking at Local lockdowns in Anglesey & Wrexham. Just hope my deliveries carry on.

Thatsthe trouble Compo many people wont listen or dont want to accept that the Devolved regions of the UK have different Coronovirus rules. Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland are different. Its the main reason for our frustration when outsiders come in either daily for entertainment or second homers trying to escape. It brings unnecessary pressure on our sparse resources. I know my harping on upsets some people but its reality.

Confused ??
Caravan club say they are opening sites in Wales on 13 July 2020 and yet i have seen a email from Gwynedd Council which says that only self-contained static caravans will be able to open on 13/07/2020 but toilet blocks / water points / chemical waste points will not be available. Self-contained tourers and motorhomes will not be allowed on any caravan site at present.

You don't need to have a separate Govt to experience visitors putting pressure on already stretched resources. Believe me, it's exactly the same in parts of England. The rules might be a bit different in Wales but the problems aren't.

Moderator Edit:
(Political remark removed).
The .gov website has the info which seems quite clear-well for us in England anyway;
2.1.5 Caravan parks and campsites
Fuller considerations for caravan parks and campsites are set out by UKHospitality, but particular consideration should be given to ensuring that such sites operate within the current government guidance on social mixing outside of household groups by:Taking measures to make any reception or office areas safer, with increased cleaning, keeping the activity time as short as possible and considering the addition of screens between guests and staff.
Closing indoor shared facilities, including:– communal kitchens, where guests prepare their own food
– other indoor communal areas where social distancing can’t be managed within current government guidelinesTaking all possible steps to reduce the risk of transmission in shared shower, changing, and toilet facilities including:
– Where possible assigning one group of washing and showering facilities to one household group
– Where showers and toilets are shared, setting clear use and cleaning guidance to ensure they are kept clean and clear of personal items and that social distancing is achieved as much as possible.
Introducing enhanced cleaning of all facilities regularly during the day and at the end of the day with particular regard to any shared facilities, considering the increased risk these entail - as set out in Section 5.3.
Considering introducing a system of staggered entry and booked timeslots for using shower facilities.1 -
Official Sunday 28th June figures:-
Possibly some good news that statins might help in the treatment of COVID because they have Anti-inflammatory properties but only based on one study so far.
