    Can I send my vouchers down the phone line then?  Roll them up and stuff them in the back?

    It would be helpful if  one could pay over the phone before arrival even perhaps the day before.  That would surely speed up the arrival procedure.

    Maybe vouchers purchased are already linked to membership? Once you give your membership number over the phone, person who takes booking can bring you up on screen and check your purchases? I know this is possible to see regarding future bookings with Club, so it is possible that the vouchers might be linked? 🤔🤷‍♀️

    Not sure how it would work.  All vouchers have a serial number with denominations of £10 or £20.  If they did it by phone you would have to know which they had used towards that booking and discard those. Can see it getting a bit confusing with the ones you have left.

    Ah well, guess (hope) I will find out next month.

    Im sure the voucher procedure will sort itself out when the time comes .

    as far as the facilities issues that some members seem to be worried about ,just use your on board facilities , job sorted .

    just enjoy being able to get away again :-)

    Serial numbers? That’s the answer then. You give them the serial number, staff input them, job done. Simple really. Providing you have your glasses to hand👍

    Don't forget to rip up the used vouchers.

    Thanks TDA. Might seem strange but I rather enjoy cleaning duties! That 90 minutes of a morning is rather therapeutic.  Now, if we have to do it twice a day or more, well, happy days!wink.  It certainly beats sitting on that mower all day!

    Flipping heck JK, you are a masochist. Give me the mower any day. I worked as a student in a Leisure Centre and the cleaning sessions drove me mad. We had to do it with public still using cubicles, there were a few wet feet, bags and clothes when the hose jets “slipped”🤣

    Astonishing what some folks get up to as well in a cubicle, it was mixed changing!😲

    I have just read the instructions for booking in a site when they reopen. A telephone number will be displayed at the entrance. You call the number and when answered your details and payment card will be taken. You will then be given instructions for setting up on site.

    Wonder how that will work at Clumber then, as there's no mobile phone signal there.

    The C&CC say they'll direct debit your account for the balance on the arrival day...sounds easier?

    Not sure how they will manage that. I paid the deposit by credit card, not from my bank account. Although the subs  renewal is on DD, wouldn't they have to ask permission to charge anything else?  I would certainly hope so.

    It seems we are back to toilets again.  So heres my input, every campsite needs a licence to run as a business, these licences are issued by the local council. To comply with the licence you need to provide 2 womens toilets, 1 male urinal and 1  male toilet per 60 pitches.  Some councils insist these numbers can be for 20 or even 10 pitches.  Also you need to provide 2 showers for woman and 2 showers for men for every 60 pitches.  So, if these facilities are not opened then the site would be in breach of its licence and could not remain open.

    It could possibly only open as a 5 van site. Hence the CL network.

    I would think they would take the fee from the card you paid the deposit with in much the same way hotels do and subscriptions are taken on the internet?

    There are many sites without facilities. Listening to the owner of a large SW site talking on local TV last night they are planning to close communal facilities and tent camping areas. Leaving statics and touring pitches at present. We still don't know what the government plans are but I presume sites will make different judgements.

    Some sites are definitely planning on opening without facilities. Perhaps this is because of the way they are built and they do not lend themselves to social distancing or the owners see it easier for themselves?

    Unless there are any councils with their heads in the sand  ,in the decimated tourist areas ,they will be glad to start getting some income to help recover some of money that has been spent so far,   and expect that lack of facilities on campsites,to be the last thing that they would look at ,if at all,even if getting any complaints

     And some caravan sites do not have sanitation facilities because the local council will not agree to their construction.
