Price reduction on club sites

When my children moved out to set up their own home I stopped making the rules for them to follow. It works well & certainly stops any animosity. If it comes to a choice I’m afraid us parents will be second choice to the partner, to think different has a whole world of pain attached to it😕

No idea whether the residents of Burrs are paying a reduced rate, but contrary to what was implied ages back by our resident expert in all things CC (no chance of finding it or the section it's in) the shower blocks are shut .... those on site are using their own facilities - I asked the warden this morning as we walked our dogs! 🙂

Yet a full timing 'resident' at Tredegar told us they were open there 🤷♂️
Cross posted with JVB.

I'd believe the warden, especially as the person at Tredegar was enjoying a wind up🤨.
Mind you, it might not be a one size fits all situation.

may not be right about Tredegar then?
As you say. "it may not be a one size fits all" and that could also be as and when sites open,,?
with the way some sites are laid out
,The only club sites we have been on , that as some think ,,are clones of others are those that have been modernised in the last few years,

Closing showers to reduce infection transmission is totally illogical when we are told to regularly wash hands. With all that soap and water swilling around in a shower it is probably one of the safer areas! Supermarkets still have customer toilets open too......

I think you will find that steam in the air is a problem as the virus latches onto the droplets, and i have been in shower blocks where the persons in the next cubicle water empties via your shower, probably not a club site but it does happen, always used the one furthest from the drain.
There was a report on an outbreak in South Korea last week where the virus was found on the soles of peoples shoes in a particular factory, so even if you were to wear flip flops nothing is guaranteed.

Clever logical thinking FC, so in a nutshell-the whole scientific thinking & Govt C-19 strategy suggests that LV pitches should open ASAP, just top up the soap dispensers. I do like joined up thinking👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊.

As far as I can recall any club sites I have visited have shared waste water open sometimes, possibly a grill over but not always, drains in the showers. I always aimed to be first in the run! Why would I want someone else's showered water in my cubicle?
I can't remember that be an issue on private suts or CL's.
I've always thought that one of the least pleasant things of this clubs showers. Some of the other clubs had this in older sites, but even newer ones on this club, as I recall, continued the practice, i except it's cheaper to install and possibly to trouble shoot?? This club always maintained a VERY healthy surplus so it didnt need to be done in a shoestring!
MVSP are another fudge on club sites, positioning, accessing, lining up etc etc. Often the most careful positioning, without dropping into a large open hole 😱, which results in grey water covering the area. Just dont think they employ specialist architects, designers, builders, inspectors of works etc etc or they just don't care! I would have found the latter the least likely previously but since this outbreak - think encouraging site visit right up to the last minute 🤐 and keeping members informed I suspect it is the latter.
We are no longer motorhomers 😢 but hopefully that will change asap, so let our membership lapse and I seriously won't rejoin unless we want to use a specific site, it doesn't make sense not to if you use one, or a CL. I think the leaders need to be thinking seriously about things now and as the future evolves 😉
Sorry a bit off topic again but relevant points if you are considering using your 'van once the opportunity arises.

i can;t see any need for the club to reduce the number of pitches booked out as at all the club sites i have been on the pitches are adequately spaced due to fire regs etc and so keeping to covid distancing requirements on a full site would be easy. The only reason to maybe reduce site density would be if the club opened the toilet and shower facilities as this would reduce demand on them but if they are not opened then no problem in my mind. So a slight reduction in site fee would be apreciated whilst the toilet facilities are closed would be good
