I don't think I will bother to write anything on the forum again as my original point was quickly forgotten and the various discussion points degraded to baked beans, various schooling issues and what you call your wife 😕 my thanks to the few who stayed on topic

The way it’s going you were lucky to post at all but, in fairness to the posters, you did ask a question to which none of us ordinary folk could possibly know the answer so it was almost bound to wander.

I think the thing to do next time John B, if there is one, is to confuse the members by asking them for their Baked Bean Recipe but then put in a supplementary paragraph relating to, say, distancing in the washing up areas to get the stuck beans off the pan.

The members have a low retention span, it's an age thing, so they'll only remember to post about the last paragraph.

Been doing this sort of thing for years.smile

    ps thanks for trying anyway.

Oh! the joys, feral children bouncing balls of your LV, dogs running wild, BBQ smoke filling your LV, Gheto blasters pounding it out until the early hours, people walkling across your pitch, and wondering when would be the best time to empty your toilet cassette to avoid queuing, and a queue of MH's waiting to use the svc point as everybody is showering indoors as the demand for water has doubled.  No wonder the club are not going to reduce the fees so much activity they will probably increase them.

     John

That is forums for you!!! I suppose there can only be a yes or no personal answer to your original question as has been pointed none on on here can give an authoritative answer as that is a Club management thing. My two penneth would be that the Club is likely to face increased costs due to opening up campsites and with a bucketful of money already lost I don't think there is any room for price reductions. Now of course if members are reluctant to start reusing campsites you may see offers starting to creep in. Having said that I went on the booking page today and I had to queue to get onto the page I needed!!! We might need to wait until the sites have been open a few weeks so we get an idea of demand.

I see that Hillhead are offering a £4 main season reduction if the pool isn't open.

Really? I hadn't heard that about Hillhead. I'm booked there, meeting the family in late July/early August. Without the pool, restaurant and loos we might as well be in a field somewhere.

This is the current Hillhead page. Details regarding facilities at top of page, details about pool down right hand side of page, with price reductions of £6 & £4 mentioned.

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-sites/england/devon-and-cornwall/devon/hillhead-caravan-club-site/

Looe Site similar, if pool doesn’t open, discount of either £4 or £2 depending on High or Mid season.

By extrapolation it is then logical that if sites open without loo blocks then a reduction is again appropriate. I doubt, however, that logic will be applied.
