Sorry, did mean Oxbridge, I am talking about the historical structure of education and our society, no more. No chip either, just an acknowledgement of the way it was/is. Come the revolution!😉

notwithstanding the overnighting, which i agree isnt allowed, I think you and i seem to have a different definition of 'local'..

even if there was a 'stay in your own county' directive, its perfectly possible for folk (in cars or MH) to come and visit 'your' town for the day from 50 miles away of more....say Basingstoke to Milford on Sea...

now, under a rule like that, they would be 'local to that area' (same county) but im pretty sure that you would disagree...

    that's life, im afraid.

    stay well.

Relax fish, by the time the Govt have emptied the coffers there’ll be no paying for your way of life, you won’t feel hypocrisy you’ll be proudly standing on your own 2 feet. . .Sink or swim-that’ll be a nice change for you, particularly the hobby farmers👏🏻👏🏻😊

I have a solution to the problem of too many people visiting the tourist hotspots. If the government were to ease the lockdown completely and get everybody back to work and into school. The only people able to visit these areas would be the retired folk and they are too afraid to go out anyway so job done. The economy would also not be ruined (although it may be too late for that).

Rain would be the simple solution just now.

That's true, but the Government don't have any control over that. Mind you, I'm not sure they have control over anything at present.

It's been pretty gruesome reading TV reports about the behaviour of people on the southwest coasts. Much better to open toilet facilities as nothing is going to stop them flocking to the sea at the moment. The forecast for the coming days is warm and sunny. Why they want to crowd together in the present circumstances is difficult to understand. Maybe it's the "won't happen to me" syndrome?

In the reports I read there was no mention of any fines for the Camping MH's. Just that they were asked to move on after the 6am raid. This was clearly going to happen. It would have made sense if it was addressed directly in the legislation, with say a £500 fine. If you didn't  pay they could always go after the asset.

Agree brue. However, forget about present circumstances, there is no way I want to go and sit on a beach with crowds like that under any circumstances.😀 The current situation reminds me of a documentary I watched many years ago on Lemmings, where they all ran off a cliff and killed themselves.

Reading the posts on here that caravans and motor caravans were parked nose to tail in a residential area, ,were they of the fraternity that tend not to normally use authorised stopping places ,if so i am not surprised if fines were not issued ,which would have antagonised the problemundecided

If it was only on the local tv programmes then as with the situations on The Norfolk Suffolk and Essex coasts it would only be the "locals" who would know about itsurprised

I think you may be overdoing it a bit with that analogy. The current infection fatality rate is probably as low as 0.1 per cent.

If you mean travellers, no they were not.

Whether they would normally use sites is anyone's guess.

The street parking at resorts was caused due to car park closures on the coast, more have been opened up since then but very few have toilet facilities open

Probably so with the killing themselves. Although I think the flocking together and charging off to the coast bit fits.

It is as normal then with the news? it was not adressed to highlight who was causing the problem? ,they just lumped the LV owners who caused the problems into the whole LV fraternityundecided

We'll see the results if there is an increase in cases in some areas?

So you do not agree that there are also others? who give most of the LV users a bad name ,is what i was refering to ,i cannot see any of my post that mentions any particular group, but as i pointed out in my second post, the media did it seems not tell the full story as usual ,as long as it makes for them"good? "news

There are numerous groups who use LVs that i would not class as "travellers"

Maybe if you'd explained exactly what you were asking instead of being vague then we'd have answered differently.

As it is, you'll need to draw your own conclusions because the answer you want is unknown by all except the LV-ers themselves.

    End of, really.
