I've no idea on either cockerel but I have had a goldfinch singing its heart out all morning sat upon my TV aerial..

Don't see them very often in my garden but this one has been hanging around for a few days now. Think it has been attracted by the bird bath in this dry weather.

We’ve been to Cuba, but only visited the Western side. Now they were better days! 🙂

Is that Castle Bodiam? Only visited once, so not too sure🤔

Edit, oops sorry, see someone else has guessed correctly.

    Any guesses on this?

"I wondered how long it would be before you mentioned Costa Rica"! laughing

Your rooster might not have been there,  David, but your post reminded me of this beauty who most certainly was. Our boatman took us right up close and personal - good job she was sleeping on a very hot humid day. Should really have thought about her during the reptile session. smile

That was certainly a better day! smile

Captured the resident goldfinches on camera this morning. Still singing away but seems to have attracted a mate now.

Goldfinches like to go around in small flocks, we rarely see one alone. They are lovely birds, so colourful. We get a good few long tailed tits as well, they are very pretty, lovely shade of pale pink.

    Good clear photo PD😁

Yes, they like to flock as well. Lovely little birds. We have had a pair of Black Caps in garden last few weeks, not seen these before, but a real treat. And we have seen Nuthatches nesting in Park, had the occasional visit on feeders at home, along with GS Woodpeckers.

Definitely not a flock in my local area. Used to have a flock of 6 long tailed tits visit my feeder but not seen them in ages.

An ancient bridge over not such troubled waters! Any "over there" regulars recognise this?

Out of curiosity, I reverse searched the WWW for your image using Bing and Google. No matches found, but many very similar, so your photo hasn't been pirated by others, AD!smile

Haven't a clue! But here's the same bridge with more people, and before the pink paint job!

I did the same via Cortana, lots of people do similar pictures but the feet are unique...laughing
