Return of Ferry Fare
Great service.
Yesterday we made the decision to cancel our European touring holiday. At 6pm last night I contacted the club using Live Chat to enquire about the ferry. It was all so simple and handled professionally. It was booked through Stena Line and my fare would be refunded less a £6 admin fee. I thought the £6 was a bit strange but didn't query the small some given that I had had no trouble. So all very good.
It got even better this morning when the agent I had spoken to last night phoned me to tell me that when she had cancelled with Stena this morning they had waived the admin fee so I would get back all monies.
The live chat and the phone call this morning were so welcoming. I have been critical in some posts since Cov-19 but credit where it's due to the club and their agent, Jacci
Thank you

My BF refund was said by the club to be 75% on credit card, and 25% 2-year voucher. The 75% took over 3 weeks to hit my card, but at least it got there.
For me, I’m challenging the still-not-received voucher, as Competition and Market Authority legal ruling is that I am entitled to ask for a full refund. I just don’t want to be bound to The Voucher for (a) a timescale (b) a specific ferry company. Given the uncertain future and confidence around travel, if and when we do go abroad, I may feel a tunnel or quick Dover-Calais crossing is preferred to a longer one (Portsmouth-Santander in the case of our original booking).
