I'm not sure which field the milk cows will be in - so they may be walking past (the other side of a fence) twice a day. I hope they're not too disturbed. We won't be!

Oh, and the water point is a mile away. Unless we use the beck  . . . .

I hope you have a lovely time Goldie. Sounds like our kind of Summer pitch up. We are used to inquisitive cows saying hello, donkeys sticking their heads through the door. Mind, we had window tapping ostriches one time, that really freaked the dogs out, and we had to move field, never mind pitch😂

Please post photos, just to pile on the agony!😁

Another lovely sunny day here again. Warm as well this morning, that sneaky East wind seems to have subsided. I am on with sorting out vet meds at the moment, another months supply. Hopefully through the post, as the last thing I want to do is venture into Sheffield😱

I'm sorry for rather hogging this thread with what isn't really a concern!

No more updates for now, I promise.

    But - photos later!

Back to reality now - farm paperwork done and dinner almost ready.

Well, you’d have to be (little), ‘cos there’s only enough room on our drive for two cars and a caravan 😎

Mmm, perhaps we'll stay put at this seaside instead as I'd not want to crowd you and breach social distancing😀

Just watching Matt Hancock floundering yet again under questioning on the daily news conference. Interesting that he avoided Laura Kunnesberg's question. The vast majority of the country accept the current lock down which looks to be working and clearly we're not in a position to let up yet. But what might the future look like? Ministers consistently refuse to answer this and I fear that before long that refusal will become untenable. Folk will see the figures looking encouraging and decide for themselves that it's worth taking a risk. Surely the time is fast approaching where ministers must treat us as adults and let us know what likely scenarios are, even if they're still some time off?

I agree, Moulesy.  I think people are going to react, possibly like some USA scenes, if a plan isn't declared.  Likewise, if we take the brakes off too early and we hit a second peak then public sympathy for another lockdown will be a little negative.  This isn't necessarily just through those folk being irresponsible bt being shut in is simply not good for the psyche.

It's just my opinion moulesy but I think that maybe the restrictions after lockdown might still be so great that when the public hear the details some may decide if going to be that restrictive they will take the chance now and stop complying.

It will be far better if we just let the government/scientists get on with it, rather than talking like tin pot revolutionaries.

Yes, Debs, unfortunately you may well be correct. As I see it at the moment it's all "stick" and no "carrot" and understandably so up to now. But the time is surely coming (possibly they're just waiting for Big B to return?) when ministers have to accept that we're all (mainly anyway) adult enough to accept that some restrictions will continue whilst enlarging somewhat on that "glimmer of light" mentioned the other day. At least then we all know where we stand; it's difficult to hear repeated praise for the population but no trust shown in return.

You have more faith in the general British public than I do M. As soon as the Gov give a hint of a relaxation in the lock down there'll be a rush by very many who think that's a green light for them to go back to the way it was before the virus struck. You just have took at the number that are already holding house parties and barbecues on the the beaches in places like Brighton to get a feeling for what will happen, and then we'll be having a second, and probably greater spike in the number of cases.
