thanks Chas....
i have just upgraded a Vista laptop for my sister and it works reqlly well. i have a bootable Win 10 'stick' on my desk...so its easy enough to do.
however the older desktop, while having a similar processor speed, memory and HDD space, doesnt have this...
Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver.
so havent tried to upgrade.

I think that's Bamburgh Castle.
I've got a pic taken in that same car park.
Last night I finished an LJ Ross novel which featured Bamburgh and the precarious battlements.

Definitely Bamburgh. That’s a very MH friendly car park as well by the way. AD’s is similar actually, in many ways. Not sure of location though.
Here’s one of UK’s oldest castles.............

Oneputt should get this very easily.
The one in the middle of the picture is called Ron (get it?)

....does exactly what it says on the tin
the one in the front is called Lou and 'won't do your sister's will'...and 'picked a fine time to leave me'....

Got to be Sir John Betjeman, brue!
One of our favourite days out is to drive up to Padstow, take the ferry across to Rock, walk along the beach to Daymer Bay and then back around the golf course. Back on the ferry for fish and chips on the quayside. Always visit the church to pay my respects - you cunningly missed out the crooked spire which would have been a real giveaway.
