I would think taking an LV any where at this time would be classed as a non essential journey,  which is now legislated for,  instead of "advised" as up to today  which now gives the police the powers needed.

And as in this area the service centres are also closed,

Just had a glance at worldwide figures, staggering. USA has had almost 10,000 new cases in 24 hours! 😥

Some folk have a Panel Van based  LV as their only vehicle, so have no choice but use it for their Food shopping trips/ Chemists.Might I suggest They put a ' I am NOT on Holiday' Sticker in the Windscreen and back window. If they dont want the 'Self Rightous' giving them the evil eye or worse.

After seeing the American teens celebrating spring break in Miami, some actually calling it a ‘virus party’ it doesn’t surprise me at all. They are getting their chutzpah from Mr(it’ll be controlled by Easter) Trump. The USA are strong but not strong enough to come out of this pandemic unscathed.

Another day appeared on the Tesco delivery calendar for the 16th April, but already first thing in the morning shows no slots available. Looks like the chances of getting another delivery from them are slim to none. I suppose they have to prioritise in some way, there just aren't enough slots to go round.

Same at Morrisons Steve, I have just resigned myself to the fact at some point I will have to go shopping or ask for help.

There was an item on TV about this and it did not sound at all hopeful that there would be improvements.

Sad once again the deniers are looking for splitting hairs about travel.Does it matter whether its a car, M/H etc. The answer is DONT GO OUT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. If you cant grasp the racking up of NHS facilites, ie Leisure sites being converted to wards, Massive attempts to get ventilators. The worse is yet to come and EVERYONE has to do their bit by not mixing or giving the virus any chance to keep spreading.

Anyone seen the u tube clip of the Italian police arresting a bloke for not obeying the isolation rules, brutal but necessary, perhaps some in the UK need this sort of treatment.  I won't show the clip for a number of reasons.

Isn't it easy to sit on the sidelines and snipe at those that are trying to keep us safe when what is required is our full support.  Stay safe whilst you Stay at Home.

not everyone is getting food supplies by the internet...this was never going to be a viable option for everyone...the demand must be 10/20 fold what it was a month ago...

so, it follows that some will have to venture out to get shopping.

perhaps its better that some younger/fitter/healthier folk forgoe the dwindling online shopping 'slots' so as to allow the less able, more vulnerable folk to take them up where they can.

ill go out once a week to get supplies....we dont need regular medicines so dont go to the chemist, have no need of ongoing doctors visits, so our (my) 'exposure' is less than some of the more needy who have other places to call...

a couple of hours table tennis in the sunshine was good exercise yesterday and the sun is out again today...cabin fever will start when the  UK weather starts chucking it down for days on end.

it was always going to be large numbers for the large, densely populated cities of the USA...

For a glimmer of hope looking forwards (at those countires further down the line) China is maintaining its low numbers of new cases and deaths..

and Italy (still waiting for last nights figures) has had four days in a row where both new cases and deaths have been below, what they hope to be, the 'peak'.

no sign yet of Spain slowing the pace, but nor was there with Italy less than a week ago.

ITV did a survey and these are the basic results:

10% of Brits are still meeting people outside their immediate family
10% of Brits are still doing more than essential shopping
18% of Brits are still taking public transport
7% of Brits are ignoring hand washing advice

    What don’t these morons understand

yes, they too have had five days where new cases is lower than the peak...so far.

the death rate (in any country) wont slow for a bit after as all the current cases have to become 'closed' with either a recovery or not... so wont see too much cheer on that front yet...

im looking for a slowing in the Spain figures, what a devastating situation and such an amazing country and wonderful, friendly people.

its sad to have spent a good while being treated to their hospitality and warmth and then see the ravage caused by this virus.

    still, glass half full, eh?smile

Both of our local hospitals have now got Covid19 cases so I feel it's creeping nearer every day. There's a slight element of out of sight out of mind but I think people will be surprised at the extent of the disease this week.

We've had lots of people walking on our right of way, further along there's a gate with a metal clasp, I wear gloves to go through this but might spray it soon just as an attempt to temporarily knock out any bugs. We usually see locals on the path but there's been an increase in "visitors." I felt so sorry for the Derbyshire farmer who was punched and attacked for challenging a walker on a path, people have been driving out in their cars to the Peak District for "nice" walks. Don't do it, walk locally!

Is it the North/South divide again, a 4000 bed hospital in London but no mention of maybe the NEC as an additional  unit? to cover the north.

Ridiculous, if our fantastic armed forces are on duty they will, of course, be in uniform.
