Electricity consumption is beginning to concern the powers that be in Grimstead Towers with exhortations to consider our usage. As has been said earlier one person's frugal is another profligate or even normal.
One can understand those on the frugal end of the spectrum feeling a bit aggrieved at those at the profligate end. If all utilised the supply to the max, it would merely accelerate CAMC's endeavours to cap usage.

At least the club are investing in something that should not have been needed, and 20 yrs, will they be needed by then
Ps Not heard of other clubs /companies that are investing that sort of money in this country
Pps With the investments already on going and in the pipeline,I think the "awash with money"is a bit of a stretch

But why those at the frugal end feel aggrieved?
Their 'contract' is with the club, the club sets it's prices and one accepts or not. Once one has made that decision is made then what anyone else does with their contract is not their business.
In a hotel do you feel aggrieved that someone uses the gym more than you? Or if you don't use the gym uses more electricity in their room than you, has the heating set higher than you?
On an all inclusive meal would anyone feel aggrieved that someone of the next table is eating more than them?
On all inclusive holiday or cruise do you personally scrutinise how much alcohol someone is using per day and feel aggrieved that you are drinking less.
Would you feel aggrieved at all the above or simply get on with your stay and let the restaurant/hotel worry about if they have set the correct price to make a profit. Do you also worry that the company is using any endeavours to cap usage?
Of course not, and the same with the club, use what you want to enjoy your holiday and stop dictating how others should use their pitch and electricity?

Erm ? nothing to do with how the motor caravan makers, if they had followed USA practice ,would have designed outlets that would have been user friendly in the first place but it is very noticeable, that other UK site owners do not seem to have been so taken in by the motor caravan fraternity ,them being so unable to help themselves or having more nouse, and getting makers to design the outlets correctly in the first place

Indeed, and that will have be recouped somehow by higher charges in summer perhaps? By as it's business they will expect a return on that investment. maybe they will get more custom than before when it was perhaps in a worse condition? Perhaps the old wiring was dangerous? You haven't given any detail others than its current state.
But still no reason why the club should replicate that? Spend money that cannot be recouped under UK law, don't really see any point in that?

Except of course in putting up prices, often twice a year at present!!

JVB.....I will admit that English is not my first Language, but I do think that I have a pretty good grasp of English, having been here off and on since 1963, having gained a university degree here in Engineering, and having worked here since 1970, but I often struggle to understand your posts.
Do you read through what you have written before you post it? Does it actually make sense to you?
A long post with no punctuation is very difficult for anyone else to read, let alone understand.

I am trying to recall what the club has said, are the price increases partly to increasing costs (passed on by the energy companies) or by increasing usage?
If the former and usage is more or less the same, which I think is what was said(?) then I don't think reducing to 10A will help.
