Our mag arrived yesterday. The paper wrapper (aka envelope) was ripped and the inserts were starting to drop out. That’s a plus point, I guess.😄

Would still be better if you offered a digital only subscription like the other club which would lower the carbon footprint even more and be cheaper for users...

Agree in principle fully but would that lead to a loss in advertising revenue? I am sure someone posted that it pays for itself?

My February issue has still not been delivered so yesterday I thought I'd click the widget thingy for 'Live Chat'

It was explained to me there were delays due to the new environmentally cover and that perhaps delays were further increased by the current inclement weather conditions.

Whilst the subject for those affected is very real and distressing and all those concerned have my deepest sympathies - postman Pat is still filling our letterbox daily with all the usual drivel, just nothing from CAMC.

Would they have accepted a print off? It would clearly not have been on magazine type paper. It says no photo copies in the T&C's. It would be difficult to tell the difference between a colour photo copy and a print off.

Worth a try and don't see why it would not be accepted on the production of your Club card.

Can you not show the voucher on your phone as you would a cinema/theatre ticket etc?

Don't think so Brue. I reckon they would need a physical item to tally with each of the relevant tickets issued.

On the ball with the March edition, it has just dropped through the letter box. It's about the earliest it has ever arrived.

Ours arrived today, unfortunately a bit on the dampside with contents hanging out. I don't think the paper is man enough for the job! Bring back the plastic wrapper I saysmile

Ours also arrived, it was fully intact so perhaps our posty man is more considerate in its handling than yours 👍👨🏻‍✈️

Ours was a tad damp as well but the paper envelope really aids recycling and far better than the camping and caravanning club's for that reason

Who can tell? The only thing I can say is that on one Facebook group dozens are complaining about the paper wrapper. None of us want something that can't be recycled but there is a bit of evidence that in very wet condition the wrapper seems to be vulnerable. Perhaps they should have waited until the summer months when hopefully it will a bit dryer?

Ours arrived, no problems. Don't usually get wet mail, I wonder why yours is arriving like that David? Ours comes out of a post van straight to the box by our door.

Doesn't your postie walk the round visiting all the houses?

No, it's a driving job round here. He walks between a few homes and then moves on. smile

I'd complain to Royal Mail if things frequently arrived damaged.

It’s only been the one item packed in an inferior wrapper that was damaged.🙄

It's a thinner wrapper than others I receive eg the RHS magazine which contains a lot of inserts but has a tougher paper wrapper. So possibly not the concept of using paper as a wrapper but using an inferior paper is the problem.

    Brue

I suspect where we live the postie does several estates on his designated round. Each estate seems to have its own bundle, in house number order and such bundles are carried by the postie which is why they get wet!
