I beg to differ. And we still have a 13 foot caravan. A mantle, but no foot pump.

Yes outfits are much, much larger, but because the pitches weren’t as numerous on some sites, and were grass, you had room to manoeuvre. We had the Paddock area at Marazion to ourselves one Summer. There was a big hoohaa about the Club “allowing” vans to be parked sideways, which we took full advantage of to get maximum sunshine for most of day. Admittedly the Club hadn’t got round to putting in hook ups, but even when it had there was still a lot of room. Outfits are packed in like sardines there now in Summer. I can remember Wardens shuffling pegs around both there and at Dorchester site to let grass recover.

Larger pitches or more  LVs now "out there" and if there was not the growing "need?" for HS pitches,(meaning less pitches on sites) the site staff would still  when not as busy  move pegs ,as it seems most sites are these days (cannot book as sites always full,is the cry)and still grass, not have to take so many out of use  because of inconsiderate use of ground sheets,

It is /was all part of the same "off the shelf " system that since introduction has been under and will always be under constant updates/improvements as with all websites

If this is the best 'off the shelf' system they could find, then they need to cut their losses & start again. All(most) all the forums I use are infinitely better than this and are far faster & I'm able to post a picture in its original size

As pointed out in earlier posts the forum side of this "off the shelf" website is not , i would expect ,the first priority when so many other areas of the club will take preference, compared to other specific forum focused , and it seems less  used sites out theresurprised

I would tend to agree with you if the rest of the CC site worked properly ... but it doesn't.

The "upgrade" is now three years old. Whilst with all IT systems there may be the odd glitch, the amount of 'essential maintainenance' downtime still in evidence tells us all we need to know about the suitability of the system selected.

Unfortunately, some posters have, yet again, trashed the thread with personal remark and insults so it will now be locked and reported to Rowena for any action she deems necessary.
