If you could what would you change

If you could wave a magic wand & change 2 things about the Club what would they be?

For me...

Number one would be the facility to book a particular pitch at the time of booking.

Number 2, the option of having a cheaper online only membership without the monthly magazine which I never ever read.

The option to book a HS pitch type.

A good fix for the IT systems so this forum and the whole website would work efficiently and speedily.

I'm with you fb in relation to your second one, our membership with the C&CC is digital only.

And I'm with you TW on your second one, an efficient and speedy website would be great.

It seems quite OK for us and much better than some other organisations that we have/do belong tosurprised

The one change that would be important to me is the ability to be able to book a hardstanding pitch.

The option of digital membership would be of no interest to me personally but if there is a demand I would have no objection to it being offered as an alternative.

I like the idea of booking a certain pitch as perhaps  this would perhaps cut down those who arrive too early looking to get a prime pitch and  those who race round the site looking for one, but like taking deposits this will need new software and perhaps more staff so cost us more but on the other hand it costs us more anyway as on our long stays we book a serviced pitch in the hope of getting a nice pitch but even some of these are not too good, still we are in the fresh air and roughing it cool

None of the above. In truth there is little that I would wish to change and definitely would not wish there to be the ability to book particular pitches.

    1. Digital Membership

    2. THS like the C&CC

    3. Ability to book hardstanding Pitches

    4. Aire type pitches for MH's

    5. Choice of EHU or non EHU on all pitches

Agree with all of these except No 4,-

just don't think we have sufficient good weather in this country to justify the cost of a pool.

I think it would need a total mindset change of your typical CAMC "camper" for bars and restaurants to become viable.

Whilst I would like arrival times to be removed wherever possible, IMO it would be far easier to change the system of booking in on arrival. Having arrived at a site a few days ago and being forced to queue on the public highway at 12.07pm it would be much better if membership cards were collected at the barrier thus allowing the vans on the site quickly.

Generally fairly happy. However since getting a MH I would like to be able to book a HS pitch. Before I was prepared to take my chances. Also I would like to see the development of MH service points in sensible locations away from General foot traffic. Even the new grids are occasionally badly positioned and not wide enough, meaning you have to turn round on the one way system in busy areas.

Book a pitch type which also includes price differentials accordingly.

Choice of EHU or not with price differentials.

A few less trees would be nice. I like to see the sun and the sky.  Would save a bit of that leaf blowing too.wink

That would be a good idea to implement if this tiny island had the space of some overseas camp sites, but then that is a problem for numerous organisations in the uk not just the two major contributers to the sites supply

    1. book a HS pitch (not an individual pitch)

    2. Service pitches on every pitch (and I suppose with an option to have it)

Doh! As we've never stayed on a club site before I didn't realize you can't pitch how you like!

I've booked a pitch at River Breamish (we normally use Low Hedgeley or the new cl Brandon Ford) for a weekend in April  (determined to finally use my voucher😊).....Hopefully there will be a choice of pitches when we arrive so that I don't feel disappointed that we can't pitch how we want......hmmmm.....

So I'd possibly change this rule too:let's see how it pans out😊

If we were still vanning next year, mine would be

    1) ability to book pitches type (not a specific pitch)

    2) more flexible arrival/departure arrangements on sites with no access problems.

But we won't be vanning next year so I'll just wish you all well with your wishes! smile

    1) No dogs sites (including parrots and other such noisy creatures).

    2) Don’t clean/close showers until at least noon. Better still, clean showers without closing them.

    Nice to have:

Subsidised behavioural counselling for joyless caravaners who have a full-on ‘domestic’ in public while attempting to site their van (can be fun to watch tho).

Club Together - ‘member Deleted User’ function applied to pre-determined number of ‘content Deleted User’ postings.

Use money to plant trees instead of buying leaf blowers.

Reserved area for those who must erect pointless banners/flags/flashing LEDs, so I don’t have to look at them.

Improve the functionality of this archaic Forum.

I'm sure you have but this is about club sites and at least new users of Hillhead are encouraged to drive to a middle point and then take a look, but the hills and layouts on those three club sites I mentioned are expansive and steep for some. smile
