Here's a screen shot when I am logged in right now - it's still blocking me doing anything by telling me to become a member and that I should join now.

Hi eurotraveller, Can you advise what version of Safari and what device you are using? I will then send this on to be investigated. Many thanks.

So far I haven't even tried this new booking site and given the posts of how awful it is I don't think I will even bother with it.
Thankfully I have my booking done for next Spring, if its not sorted by the time we want to book for the Autumn then I will book direct with the ferry company or with the C&CC, life is to short to have to put up with appalling booking sites.
Come on C&MC get your finger out and sort it.

Rowena, I have posted several times about the problems I've encountered, I have also sent feedback by clicking on the link you provided in your OP. Has any of that been passed on to the IT people?
BTW, my problems are on an Android tablet.

Hi IanD, yes it's all being forwarded to the relevant team as is the responses from the survey.

Could someone please tell me if you book a ferry (Brittany Ferries) with the club does it book it at the Standard rate. In other words Brittany's new booking system gives you choice of 3 fares, economy (pay up and get nothing back if anything happens) Standard ( gives you time to alter or cancel) and all swinging and dancing booking ? Thanks.

Just had another try, after not trying since the end of last week. Received the email today, so thought, let's give it another go.
Got a quote for a ferry with 4 vouchers for a particular date. The only way to get the vouchers "banner" to come up is by clicking on the Sites tab first, then repeatedly clicking, or double-clicking, on the map. It then appears, eventually, above the "Become a member" banner (why do I get that when I'm logged in as a member???).
Then clicked on Crossings and selected the route and dates, got a quote, great.
Then wanted to try a different route; left the vouchers in the basket, selected a different route and different dates, and guess what? Couldn't input height of car!!!
This problem has been going on for quite some time now; I can't understand how people manage to book anything. Or is everybody just getting 1 quote and either booking that or not bothering again?

Just booked next June's trip to Brittany, two weeks on two different sites. Brittany Ferries Plymouth-Roscoff crossings. Very simple and quick system, encountered no problems. The saving via the club over booking direct with BF and the individuals sites was considerable. The complete package coming to just £30 more than the cheapest directly booked ferries. Well done C&MHC

I tried again at lunchtime today and got a couple of quotes; I didn't have time to carry on, so left it. Just logged back in, and now can't input height of car again! I've no idea why that keeps happening after I've had a few quotes and try again a few hours later. Perhaps something to do with the type of tablet, iphone, laptop one uses?
It's certainly not simple and quick for me, never has been yet, but looking forward to the day when it will be

I can only speak as I find. Having done my prior research regarding sites, ferries etc the whole process took me about 10 mins. This included relaying certain info to SHMBO who was upstairs at the time. Process carried out on my desk top using the latest Windows system. My only gripe is not being able to purchase Red Pennant until the new year, but this is an insurance problem not booking.

I'm pleased the system worked well for you. You said you used a laptop, I'm using an Android tablet; that's why I suspect there may be a problem depending on what you use. Which of course there shouldn't be, if that is indeed the case. It may not be of course, I'm only speculating.
The quotes I got earlier worked fairly well, although I wasn't looking for sites, but wanted to add vouchers; that does still take a number of "clickings" on the map before it shows up. It was when I returned an hour ago for another try, that I was then unable to input height of car.

After following this thread for a few weeks now I decided that it was time I gave the new booking system a try.
I searched for a ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge out at the end of April Return mid June.
I got the ferry price I was looking for but on that day only no other dates given.
I got a choice of other crossings which was useful in that the Hull to Rotterdam was cheaper (first time that's been the case) the other 2 suggested crossings were not of interest to me.
I clicked on the combined fare, but when checking the basket nothing had been added and I couldn't see where you could add vouchers.
First time of using it, not impressed nowhere near as useful or user friendly as the old booking site, so I have to agree with everyone else WHY tamper with something when it works, for something that is not fit for purpose.
EDIT: I've just gone back into the system and tried a booking for Hull - Zeebrugge under the old system ie next month, it took all of 2 minutes to do, I got 9 choices of crossings all from Hull - Zeebrugge (as requested) no other suggested routes (that's fine I didn't ask for them) vouchers were easy to add and subtract if no benefit. Oh and under the new booking system my vehicle details were wrong.

Wow this is great fun.
Just done another search for a ferry from Portsmouth to Caen, and it returned a ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe saying there are no crossings for the route I'd selected.
Unbelievable, I know the route and times are available as I checked on the BF site first.

I am really sorry for all members experiencing problems, it must be very frustrating and annoying. I am now thinking, was I just lucky, but it really was straightforward and easy for me. Which ever way it is, there is clearly a massive problem which needs sorting out. May I wish everyone good luck and happy holidays in 2020.
