    washing line's and rotary ones should be banned,it will not make any difference as the rules are for the other members, oh and the wardens discretion must not forget that. Club site's are a last resort for us much prefer CL / CS and commercial sites where those that cause problems for the majority are shown the door.

    I must be the odd one out; seeing a washing line or a rotary drier full of washing doesn't bother me in the slightest, whether it's on the next pitch, opposite or on my own pitch.

    Like AD, we go away for weeks on end (over there) and I think people would complain about the smell if we didn't wash clothes, bedding and towels on a regular basis!  Some sites don't have a tumble drier, so where do you dry your washing other than outside?

    Over here we're not usually away long enough to have to do much, other than a bit of hand-washing, which I have a rack for.  That hooks on to a window, or could that be frowned upon as well wink

     On our longish tours we can do several washes m but as the majority of cc sites have decent washing machines and tumble dryers the need for airers or other acrutriments on our pitch tend not be requiredsurprised

    Our trips are normally from 6 to 10 weeks at a time over here, the majority of our stops being on CLs which don't have the facilities found at club or commercial sites, so we do a wash at least once a week and use our rotary drier and occasionally a window airer too. We've never had a problem with any of our neighbours over these.

    We use a tumble dryer at home, but we refuse to pay the high prices of washers and dryers on Club sites, and anyway often use CLs, so have our own little washing machine, and a rotary airer which we put up behind the van if  dry, or under the awning if not.

    There were plenty of such rotary dryers at Seacroft this summer but then it is a 'family' site with people there for a week or two.

    I have no problems at all with them.

    So nothing much will change then? Yes I will or no I won't!

    Views seem to be polarised between those who do put out washing lines, rotaries and those who do not.

    I really cannot see the club getting excited by this and I doubt that it has changed anyone's views.

    It comes down to the dividing grass strip - is it public or for use by the adjacent pitch occupiers?

     Perhaps one day common sense will prevail and those who use the strip as a means of getting around site will realise that others have differing views and they should not complain if the strip is occupied by a twirly, couple of sun beds or even a BBQ.
