And some express surprise at M/Homers who use "car parks". Can't see a lot of difference myself. I supposer it leaves more time for the wardens to clean the loo blocks.

Is that a site you've actually stayed on, et, or another publicity shot like the one you used for Beacon Cottage the other day?

Which site is it? It certainly doesn't look like a site we've used but it'd be interesting to know which site so that one could compare it to other areas.

Yes, I'm sure the rotaries are allowed but the question is where and when can they be placed? Next on the agenda of peripherals and their placement for consideration are flags and their poles!surprised

I think it would be a bit of a problem if rotaries were not allowed with the amount noted for sale by the site staff in the Office/shopwink widow twanky washing lines are not permitted on cc sitessurprised

Where? If a hardstand pitch then on the hard stand. When? Preferably after 8am if pegging down (although any time after 6.30am would be fine for me) and before dusk. Once set up you can leave it up if you wish until you depart. laughing

If we have any space behind our pitch we peg it down there, but if we only use it when needed (a big wash)we do not leave it in place  ,with the unpredictable UK climate we will also erect it under our wind out canopy to keep rain off smile

Ps we have been known to deploy a flag and pole in areas that have a high population of flying rats and gulls to keep them from useing the roof of the van as an airfield for circuits and bumpscoolsurprised

    Blackpool South?

Just been looking for a site for a possible trip to the lumies and thought one of the photos looked familiar!

Ah yes, I thought et might actually have stayed on the site and taken the picture rather than lifting it straight from the club Web page. Oddly, he seems to have missed the first picture showing pitches divided by neat hedges! wink

To get back to the OP and his question - surely the grass strips between the hard standings are shared 50/50 unless warden says otherwise?

As appose to TDA, MOH and myself prefer an open, treeless site so that when it rains and then stops the trees do not continue to shed water onto the caravan roof with a series of heavy droplets thumping on it every time the wind blows. Treeless sites also give a better view of the countryside around.

PS we are not neighbour watchers nor do report perceived misdemeanours.

I'm with Redface. Dense tree cover does not enhance a site and it certainly does nothing for solar panel output and, for those with satellite TV, it's also problematic. A few sporadic ones for "landscaping" but no more.

    What about bird feeders then.

I was told off by the lady next door when I planted my bird feeder just off the hard standing. I was so shocked as she stated “ That’s My Grass “

    I think she had a problem upstairs😩

Areas which are not included in a delineated pitch, are communal. Provided for the benefit of all. As campers, we are sharing a space.

Sitting out on chairs temporarily placed is fine, but you cannot "bag" a communal area like a homesteader!

Parking a rotary washing thingy is just the same as hanging a washing line up in my opinion, and it can be a most unpleasant sight if its in a neighbours outlook. If it can be done unobtrusively to the neighbours it is ok, but that means unobtrusive to your neighbours.

Ours is always parked firmly pegged on our pitch. If that's in the neighbours outlook, I am afraid they will just have to live with it.

I realised that. However, I am not sure it is any less visible on our pitch.

If you can sit out on the grass(either neighbour) put up washing lines then why do some become apoplectic with rage if someone steps on it in passing?🤔

I don't think many object to the grass finger as a right of way. It's those walking under the wind out awning that cause understandable complaints.

Some may not object to the finger but I am still shocked at some of the posts demanding folk get kicked off for trespassing😱. Anality at its worse☹️

You have to walk along the grass fingers to get to water & the bins on some pitches at some sites.

We either hang washing on the awning guy ropes or on a line stretching from car to caravan.
