    Hello there,

I've checked with the site operations team and this is the same for all sites with Late Night Availability (LNA).

The guests don’t pay the full price of the pitch they booked on site, but just pay the per person fees.

The LNA is used for guests that have a booking but for various reasons, i.e. heavy traffic, cannot make it to site to take up their booking before the site closes at 8pm. If this is the case, the guest should phone ahead and advise the site of this, so that they can check if there is a LNA pitch free for them, as they will be turning up late.

The following morning, because they had a booking the previous night, they can get onto site to take up their pitch from when the office opens at 9am, they can then use all the facilities on site, hence the charge.

I hope this helps explain and let me know if you have any further questions. smile

    Thanks.

I note "Late Night Arrival" has morphosed into "Late Night Availability".

Maybe because it’s not “available” at all sites Nav. Some have a LNA area, some don’t. It usually states the situation in the handbook and on the webpage.

I wonder, just wonder, if some of our "guests" (another new term) have been turning up after 8pm and using the Late Night Arrival area only to depart in the morning before people are up and about.  Many of the LNA's have power available, and it's but a short walk to the toilets.

Could be the rationalle behind having to "book" the use.

I think you are misreading the usage Nav. You don’t book the LNA area, if you arrive late and it’s full with a couple of others that have arrived late (a rarity, but possible) it’s tough luck and find somewhere else to overnight. Unless you mean someone without a booking who sneaks in, but they do tend to be close to where Wardens are, and most Wardens we have come across a very on the ball about who their expected arrivals are.
