That mid October date is perhsps to tie in with Brittany Ferries who are also releasing their 2020 summer timetable on 15 October 2019

For anyone planning a Portsmouth departure, you may want to factor in a stopover.

Brittany Ferries will be offering a three tier fare structure for 2020 at three levels of prices -  non flexible fares, the current flexible fares where dates and times can be changed on line without penalty up to a few days before departure, and ultra flexible fares where dates and times can be changed up to four hours before departure. But what this Club will offer remains to be seen.

It's actually more complicated than I sketched out - different levels of initial payment when booking, different rates of cancellation costs, different dates to pay in full for each tier of prices, and so on. And it will all be announced on the 16th October not the 15th.

if someone gets an early sight of it perhaps they can post a link because I think those who are dog owners will want to book quickly to get the scarce dog friendly cabins for next year.

Incidentally those cabins were described to me as cabins where dogs can sit on the sheets - but just move one letter and you get a much more vulgar meaning.
