I agree we have numerous families in our area from other countries who now feel part english, and not one seems to want to go "home" and I think all are quite integrated

Is staying in a caravan or motorhome a prerequisite for spotting the sorts of things Dunclair was complaining about then? undecided

You asked and did not Specify, but then i expect with your attitude to others who do not now go over there, with an LV ,your post,is a bit pathetic,as how ever any one travels ,the sight from any form of ground level transport is the same or even better when not driving and admiring the scenery  rather that as should when driving, look where you are going and what others could be doing ,and more so in some countriesundecided

If you question everything others write, you must think they aren't telling the truth so why should anyone believe anything you say

"…please observe the community guidelines and stick to those places you have been and stayed under your own steam and reserve package trip reports for general chat."

Made up a new rule have you, David? What a hoot!😂

Btw, I’ve straightened up your avatar pic for you. Happy to help👍🏻

I thought that was your new van🤔. Thanks, I look forward to the new pic👍🏻

Is this the bit of the guidelines you’re referring to? "Be truthful about your experiences." Surely you’re not suggesting people are fibbing?😧 Nowhere can I see anything saying trips must be made under our own steam.🤷🏻‍♂️

A couple of years, really? Until recently on my machine there was a pic of you which this smiley always reminds me of😏. No offence, it’s actually quite cute.

Sorry to disillusion you, but I take no interest in your movements. What’s the new van, then?

To return to the point about whether or not one is qualified to comment on Dunclair's observations, I might add that in our camping days we spent much time driving through France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Germany. More recently, on "package" holidays we have hired cars to tour in Spain, Italy, Cyprus and each of the Canary Islands. So we do get around and see quite a lot of local life in all these varied areas.

As I understand it, David (and I do read your posts and those of others with interest), you spend many days driving 7+ hours on motorways to arrive at a location where you then stay for several weeks. (That's not a criticism, by the way, you clearly enjoy doing it and that's absolutely your choice).

But I do wonder if the contrast between your own and our experiences is as stark as you always imply.
