    Just been through the April 2019 Magazine and updated the OFF-Grid (Non-EHU) Sites list and map as below. 

    NEW OFF-GRID SITE ADDED: 
    Although 2 new ones listed already on the list!

    Not so good news! Just been checking the website links to the CAMC website listing for the CLs in the Sites list and found:

    I wonder if that is a sneaky way that HO is hiding the fact that more sites are closing than they care to admit. I wonder how many of those CLs with EHU have disappeared from the list and we have not been informed by either Maddie or in the magazine in their respective CL Updates.

    I guess this maybe the list of ones we may see as closures in next Month’s Magazine or on Maddies’ post!
    As of today there are 2207 CLs on the CAMC website, 1808 have EHU.
    They will soon have to revise the statement on the website “If you’re looking for a very special holiday experience, there are over 2,200 small, five pitch sites, waiting to be found in every corner of the UK”

    I did a search for how many CLs there are on the network last Wednesday (27 March) for a Facebook post and there were 2222 then....

    I have just looked back at the data I extracted of all the CLs to update the Off-grid CL list in Dec 2017 and there were a total of 2286 CLs then! So in 15 months seem to have lost 79 (just over 5 per month)

    Lets hope there are lots of new CLs waiting to be listed to replenish the network!

    What a brillant idea. Many thanks for your hard work.

    We love the off grid sites, partly because of finances but also, they don't have the camp site feel of some of the more sophisticated ones.

    Hi Johnny. I've just gone through the latest update from Maddie, and see that there is one new Non-EHU CL...May Tree CL, Pilling, but 4 more have closed....The Beeches, Tayport, Fife; Glen Hinnisdale, Skye, Highland; Crawcroft, Sutton on Sea, Lincs; and Cromwellpark House, Perth.

    Following Maddies May list of opening and closed sites I have updated the OFF-Grid (Non-EHU) Sites list and map as below

    NEW OFF-GRID SITES ADDED:
    May Tree CL    , May Tree Lane, Pilling, Preston, Lancashire,, PR3 6DE Link 

    CLOSURES OF OFF-GRID SITES REMOVED (this one was already greyed out on list as no listing on website):
    Cromwellpark House, Almondbank, Perth, Perthshire & Kinross, Scotland PH1 3LW Perthshire

    NTH The other 3 you mentioned on Maddies closed list where removed from the list and map sometime ago (update: found them mentioned in a post on 1/4/19)

    Johnny, I've been thro' the list from 1/4/19 and find that there's been no notification of most on there as having closed and one doesn't appear in the site directory for 2019 at all. I'm sure that those at HO are keeping hidden the extent of site closures, especially those with no EHU.

    At last got here to reply to you Nellie! The dreaded "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." has stopped me posting!

    It seems to me they remove them straight away from the website if they leave and then take 2-3 months before its reported by Maddie or in the club magazine. Only comes to light if I do a check of the links on the spreadsheet.

    Please be assured all closures are published on here and in the magazine. The Magazine works 2 months in advance, so anything closed in June will be in the August Magazine. I post the previous months closures on CT.
