Royan to Le Verdon-sur-Mer ferry
Back in 1988 we took the ferry from Royan to Verdon-sur-Mer with car and caravan. We now have plans for a motorhome and I have been wondering if the ferry takes motorhomes. I have just spent twenty minutes on the gironde.fr web site and can find tariffs and timetables but no mention of the vehicles carried. Can anyone tell me if they have used the ferry with a motorhome? Thanks.

The website you want is Bernezac.com - the Ferries section of it.
It gives timetables and prices for all classes of vehicles including motorhomes( the French word to look for is Camping Cars) . Even buses are carried too.

I never used it but the old ferries where they loaded from the side always used to look a bit of a challenge.

It's a proper ferry now - no problems with Motorhome or Car & Caravan - it is quite pricey though all be it along way round if you don't use it

a few MHs in the queue when we passed there recently...
we will be exploring the area more thoroughly next time around and a visit by ferry to the Medoc is on the list..

Drive round and it's about £20 in fuel plus a couple of hours. Can't imagine it saves more than about an hour by the time you factor in the crossing.

This was our journey in a 7m Motorhome on the Ferry back in 2013 - probably altered since then - https://youtu.be/xDfUA0zO6b8
