As neither Ireland or Wales seem to be playing at their best at the moment the clash between the two side should be an interesting contes.
I only saw the second half of Scotland/Ireland match but listing to the pundits I missed a great 1st half, but again Scotland made far to many elementary mistakes to really challenge the Irish.
Hopefully England can come away with a good win tomorrow and add the extra bonus point.

Yes, Wales were lack lustre again, but to keep winning when you're not at your best is no bad thing!
Eddie & Jiffy in the commentary? I rue the day William Pollock McLaren CBE, retired from commentating. For me, he was the master and made any dull game an interesting affair - much like Clifford Isaac "Cliff" Morgan, CVO OBE who, sadly, has also hung up his boots (again) recently.
Not sure who the duo were commentating on the Italy/Wales game yesterday, but one of them didn't understand the knock-on law, the other was plain dull, apart form his laugh-out-loud comment of "lack of spatial awareness"

Another display of power and dominance from an England side, who, to be honest, only needed the first half to rack up 30 points and a subsequent record score over Les Blue
The last time I saw an England side with this power, skill and dominance was back in 2002...... and we all know how that ended in 2003!!!

Just a question, why did Wales turn out what many thought to be a second XV. All very well in the old 5 nations set up but today those bonus points could be crucial. Not a good plan in my opinion as they only drew 2 tries a piece with Italy, a bit disappointing I would think for the faithful. Time for a management rethink?

Hate to destroy all the afore mentioned comments etc, BUT I really do have to congratulate a certain Red-shirted Whistle-man on his fine performance today !! Explaining why as well as what was a great addition to the commentary today even to congratulating a player on the ground for not committing an obvious & easy foul. Darn it, with VAR coming fully to Premier League Soccer next season perhaps the officials there could take lessons from todays Ref.

It does help if the players he's talking to have something between their ears, other than Brillcreamed hair, diamond earrings and gold teeth 🤭😉😂
BTW, Nigel is regarded as the finest referee in the game and unlike others, doesn't call on the TMO for every decision. The emphasis there is on 'every'. Did notice he was struggling to keep up with the pace at times-which only further proves how quick England were 😉

Totally off topic, totally unnecessary and not funny 😉 (unless you're from, or have spent time in their company) but thank you for posting. It's what the game is all about: fun, banter, camaraderie and friendship!!!
And to prove a point, here's my favourite Welsh rugby joke:
The Welsh team were playing England at Twickenham and after the half-time whistle blew they found themselves ahead 50-0, Gareth Edwards getting eight tries. The rest of the team decided to head for the pub instead of playing the second half, leaving Gareth to go out on his own.
“No worries,” Gareth told them, “I’ll join you later and tell you what happened.” After the game Gareth headed for the pub where he told his teammates the final score: 95-3.“What!” said a furious Ray Gravell, “How did you let them get three points?” Gareth replied apologetically: “I was sent off with 20 minutes to go.”

Interesting, as you say Micky, that Gatland chose to field a side which most considered not the first XV. Perhaps he wanted to test new players at test level, rest some of the "A" teamers, or perhaps he was looking for inspiration for when England come calling in a fortnight? If he thought he might beat Italy with his 'second XV' then the plan could easily have backfired and Wales' winning streak to an abrupt end.
What are your thoughts?

Well, in the pre professional days I recall teams would be selected on what they considered to be the best XV available. Selection wasn't always down to the 'manager' though but more a committee affair, England particular being sellected by the old school brigade. Today we see head coaches selecting teams and the success or failure is far more attributed to them. So much more at stake these days and technology plays such an important part. Today the individual player on both the sides strengths/weaknesses and statistics playing an important part in how selection is made.
I just think Gatland was riding his luck rather than maximising potential. Only time will tell if this strategy wins out but he will really need to think about bonus point wins from now on and not just winning the next game on points alone.
After all, a result of two tries a piece against Italy may have caused more of a headache in the long game.

Well done Wales, they really deserved that!
England went wrong in the tactical play right at the end of the first half for me. They should have done what Wales did for their penultimate try, was that 30+ phases leading up to it? They then went on and showed determination and courage outwiting and frustrating England throughout the second half!0
