For me, the most exciting tournament in the sporting calendar as the 6 Nations lock horns and renew old rivalries and friendships over the coming weeks, with the added bonus of a World Cup to look forward to later in the year. Undoubtedly, the Irish are strong favourites again this year. Scotland start with 2 home fixtures, Wales are unbeaten in their last 9 fixtures and England are promising plenty of power. The French are at sixes and sevens whilst the brilliant Sergio Parisse can expect another season without a win.

A competition like no other.....let the games begin!

I'll be watching too, which means no time to view CT, so will have to catch up on Monday night.

Good to see the Women getting live coverage too, particularly as England Women are giving the Irish women a very good game 👍😀

What a turn around by Wales, they were lucky.... but took their chances, thought they had thrown it away when they lost their last line out.

Great Welsh win, lets hope England can do the business tomorrow...cool

Indeed  BT  &  JR,  I'm  just  wondering  what  my  tipples  will  be  undecided.

A  nice  Italian  wine,  a  Gottle  of  Guinness  perhaps,  a   pint  or  three  of  Adnams,  a  Glass  of  Scotlands'  finest  Whisky  ??

Any  combination  of  the  above  wink  maybe  ??

Followed  later  on  with  a  large  stiff  Andrews  Liver  Salts  perhaps.

Well, the French threw that one away quite literally. Well done to Wales mind for sticking to it and finishing the job off. They must be mightily relieved!

Oh, and well done to the English Ladies too. Very high standards of play in most if not all departments.👏

    Now on to Saturday's games.🏉👍

Wow! Didn't see that one coming!

Superb England performance to beat the Irish in a thrilling hard fought game. Brilliant.

Scotland got their expected win but luckily for them the Italians only played for the last 10 minutes 😂

    What a game!

The England/Ireland match was in a different league from the earlier Scotland/Italy match.

    Wow indeed !!!

That's the best I've seen England play for a few years, they more or less ran the game from start to finish. Didn't allow Ireland to settle they outran, outfought and out thought them. Eddie has got England ticking again.........Great match and result, especially if you're English.

Can't comment on the Scottish match as I didn't watch it, but to let Italy  score three tries against them, doesn't speak highly of Scotland's defence, without taking anything away from Italy. They may cause a surprise win this series, it has to come.cool

Great win for England with some superb play. Scotland made a meal of it, and I think that they'll struggle against the Irish next week. Looks already as if it will all come down to the England/Wales game for who shall win the Championship, although bonus points will pay major part in who take the title I think.

It was great to see both the Vinipola brothers and Tuilagi back in the side and performing well.

No surprises for me in this afternoon's fixtures, Scotland vs Ireland being the more  entertaining game.

I though the Italians put up a pretty good fight today. The Welsh didn't light many fires and at times looked vulnerable although they did deserve the points. Did they get any bonus ones?

Agree, Italy away is becoming an 'awkward ' fixture now. A few years ago every team that played them put 40/50/60 or more points past them. Those days are long gone and they're a good watch.

No bonus points for Wales today as they only managed 2 tries
