    Hi

The easiest method when in Spain is to buy an empty repsol or cepsa bottle from a flea market or second hand shop, then go to a ferretaria (hardware shop) and get a length of suitable gas hose and a fitting for the bottle. This is the important bit, just ask for a "regulado salida libre" which is basically an adaptor not a regulator. Exchange bottles at present are 15.50 euros for propane and 18 for butane.

You can of course get all this equipment before you go, I'd suggest a reputable company like Gaslow Direct, very helpful on the phone when I bought the connections for my new rv.

    Cheers

    JK

as this post has reappeared, I'll add some recent experience to it....

campsite fixed up Cepsa contract, 13kg propane bottle delivered, €25, smart new version with large blue plastic handles....lovely to handle.... however, a real PIG to get into the locker and sort hoses as the bottle is so tall.....

managed to squeeze it in but locker was very tight to shut....

gas lasted 3 weeks with fridge and heating and swapped yesterday for Repsol (the site allows this) as they looked slightly smaller and had no plastic collar.

in fact, the Repsol bottles are 11kg and the same size as my Gaslow, hoses fitted much simpler and the locker shut easily....happy camper.

    refill cost €17.

    Hi

I'll agree with you on the repsol bottle sizes BB, in my rv there's a 3 inch clearance at the top. The repsol lightweights are similar to cepsa in the fact they are taller, too tight a fityell

    17 euros for a refill? We're on 14.50 as from 1st Jan.surprised

    I'll be there....wink...though what's €2.50 between friends...smile

my first bottle was only €25, many are quoting more than that for a full first time one....what do you charge for one?

i also have a Gaslow, too, but the local gas, even at €17, is way cheaper than metered leccy....and heating is far better on gas anyway....and the fridge runs great.
