Spanish tour
We are sailing to Santander early May stopping over at Arco Iris Madrid then making our way down to Andalucia staying at Camping La Campina and Camping Las Lomas before returning via Camping Los Batanes and Camping Monte Holiday on the way back to Santander.
Does anyone have any tips/experience/advice on any of these sites. We have seen on the web that it is a steep climb into Camping Las Lomas. We have towed in France, Germany and Belgium but not driven in Spain before and would appreciate any advice on roads etc.
Also any information regarding cycling and walking would be useful.
Our van is 7.5mtrs long.

Watch the locals on roundabouts. Just because they are on the outer edge doesn't mean they are coming off.

We stayed at Las Lomas and yes it is a bit of a steep climb to the site but we have done far worse. My blog of the holiday covers all that we saw and did and apart from the fact the car broke down it was wonderful.

We stayed at Arco Iris in January a few years ago. Whilst it looks a little like an encampment when you first enter, the touring sites are at the top of the hill and are excellent. The toilet block is ultra modern with electronic everything. We liked it a lot and would certainly return. NB the road outside is a fast dual carriageway. You need to take the slip road onto the parallel service road in good time, so take care entering and leaving. We had no issue with noise though.
There is a bus outside to take you to Madrid, but we never fathomed it out as either it is going in the wrong direction or you have to cross the busy dual carriageway. We drove out a couple of miles to Vilaviciosa and took the bus from there. We had free street parking. The bus took us to Puerto San Vicente where either you can walk through the park up to the back of the palace or take the subway to elsewhere in the city.
You cam read about it in our blog http://www.oldagetraveller.net/438801289
