I would like to advance book a site within an hour  or so of Santander which is open in late January. We have an 8 mtr caravan.  We will be travelling south the next day. I have an ACSI card but for one night happy to take any site. Most I have checked are not open that early in the year. Any recommendations would be appreciated

Depends on the distance you can travel away from Santander

    Sites close to the ferry

Cabo Mayor doesn't open until March (used it, it was fine):

    http://www.cabomayor.com/

    Virgen Del Mar

    http://campingvirgendelmar.com/en/

Unsure if it's open in Jan or quality.

Others will need to be found via Google, again, depending on arrival time.

DD - We are arriving of the ferry at 2-0pm so probably nearer 3-0pm before we clear the port.

Thanks Doug I have checked the 2nd one and it implies open all year.

Hi have a look at the sites below. They are overnight stopovers used by the other club. Should be open late January.

    El Helguero

    Camping Zarautz

    Fuentes Blancas, Burgos.

    Camping Haro

I wouldn’t recommend Virgen del mar with a big caravan, pitches small and awkward to manoeuvre onto even with a mover.

We used El Huelgero a couple of years ago and it was a very pleasant site. The on-site "restaurant" was awful however.
