ET, next year’s prices (#1) have been available for some time, under the web pages for individual sites. Probably due to new rolling booking system. Price increases (#2) have just been announced, via email to those who have sites booked. We opted out of emails from Club, but just happen to have booked a couple of sites for first time ever in advance for a couple of events for next year. This is probably why we got the update email, which is reassuring us that our existing booking price will stand, if we keep those dates. It will possibly have bookings running for different prices for a year, something bound to cause comment at some point if there is a queue in reception and someone thinks someone else has got something cheaper! The Club has probably recalculated it’s pricing policy for next year, and is implementing it retrospectively, but has decided, probably sensibly, not to incur the wrath of those like us who have booked something at a price advertised. So if you book something before Tuesday of next week, you will be charged the old, new price, rather than the new, new price!
I am trying to recall when price increases usually happen (1st Jan? 1st April?) to see if this is another way of getting more money in. New prices from 5th December seems a bit strange to me, but I could be wrong.

Have they ? have just checked Notgrove and the rise at peak is £1.00 for pitch and two checking from 2017 prices including up to now 2019 prices
i can remember they used to be £10 but not when. Next year they are £15 so that is a 50 percent rise. In 2014 they were £12 and I recall they jumped from £10 to this.

Still not the 50% stated in 6yrs and in 9years not bad with the much increased costs involved compared to just about everything else in the UK
will have to check our site night costs as we have used that site since about 1999 we have kept a record since i fully retired

It appears there is no specific law relating to honouring prices, but most places do. You could almost say a contract between the Club as seller, and myself as purchaser, has been agreed at the price quoted. How binding upon both parties throws up a lot of variables. I might cancel, the site might not be available..............small print would sort it out somewhere. Slightly different to buying goods over a shop counter that has been labelled incorrectly.

I believe shops can withdraw the item from sale if its wrongly priced, but they don't usually. I presume similar for the club as no deposit or paid in advance means something similar?? No real contract entered into just an agreement?? Very grey area.

It’s a bit of a mystery.

I found this link elsewhere, (another web site) why some have got the email and others not seems like an admin error. You would normally expect this to go out via an auto link to emails.
These details are not on the current web site, I have searched for them. Assuming my link works? That is the first time I have seen them since the OP was posted.

The pic of the mail in my OP seems to have vanished, or is it just me who can’t see it?
