There is already a FAQ on the menu at the top of my screen, between my profile and contact us. Surely folk can use this if they want to ask a question. Perhaps paint it orange so it is a bit more obvious😉 At least it scrolls up out of the way and doesn't keep sitting on top of what I want to access.
FA, while your testing that bit of code, can you make sure it does not lock up an iPad 3, as minimising it does at the moment.

The clock faces do nothing
The coloured squares give you a bullet point
The printer gives you a 1.
Two fingers gives you an add link
Balls gives you add video
upside down tie is for emojis

Not read all the posts, but the orange box appeared when I logged in about 30 mins ago but it seems to have disappeared now/

It's another thing slowing website down. My screen completely locked up when looking at CLs. Ironically, neither live chat or the blasted question box worked!

SteveL - thanks I've reported that ipad issue to the developers, they are looking into it - and we are still pushing on trying to minimise the intrusion on screen space - we have some new code in test this morning that will hopefully improve matters.
Tinwheeler - I'm new to the club and definitely not a troll, apparently Ro is bestowing my "Staff" colours onto my avatar later today
If (and it is still an if) we move forwards with this solution then it will eventually replace all of the FAQ content - you can see some of how it will work if you look on the "Contact Us" page. This has been a worthwhile exercise regardless as some of the FAQ needed a bit of a spring clean - and thus far this experience has been more like a power wash.

'FinkAngel', I certainly hope 'Ro' can do that for you. We were promised an avatar fix months ago, and still we have a dull grey box See if you can knock up a bit of code to a recognise a JPG when it actually is a JPG.

Thanks, FA. I’m sure you can see why I raised the point. No staff banner and no introduction - well, it’s not very professional and you could have been anyone. A few words from Ro and yourself would have made things so much clearer.
I hope that is ‘if’. The whole thing could have been handled so much better. A few words of explanation and a shed load of common sense would have helped.

Ah, we both have the same problem Metheven, the last fix (which was delivered a couple of weeks ago) didn't work, as you can tell. We are now working with a different set of developers - I'm confident things will start moving a lot quicker around here as of next month (once they are fully onboarded).

I missed it on CT but I’ve just had the pleasure of the orange box when I was on the UK sites booking page on my phone.
I rarely access the clubs website on a pc. I don’t have an iPad. 99% of the time I’m on my iPhone. The mobile site on an iPhone is a demonstration of how not to build a site. From the sideways scrolling to the new orange box the website is about as difficult to negotiate as any I’ve come across. It’s only beaten to the user unfriendly crown by some local newspapers who use the weirdest architecture I can imagine.
So I’m off to the app in future as so far that works as you’d expect.

I would like to thank you for spending time on the forum explaining things to us. I find that quite refreshing. Many of the moans and groans about the forum would subside if we felt that we were being kept in the loop by those directly charged with sorting out the problems.

This is going to lose Club customers! I tried twice yesterday to access CL website pages. Both times I got the orange box and the live chat. The whole page just locks up, nothing works. No question posted, no access to live chat, and cannot make the page do anything. Use an iPad. Clearly once again the Clubs attempts at "improving things" doesn't work with Apple devices. Good job Apple devices aren't popular!
Back to the handbook until all the tinkering ends. A not happy customer who will be giving out nothing but negative feedback to others! First rule of marketing......keep your existing customer base happy before you attempt to find more!
