It’s such a pity DD that you spend your time and energy trying to deny good people the same facility that you have ie- being able to fill with LPG virtually anywhere! You have tried very hard to derail this perfectly innocent thread and have completely missed the point made so eloquently by Cyber and Artyboo above-  Morrisons have accepted Safefill, and ONLY Safefill. Period! You have also refused to stay off the thread even though I asked for it as it was about getting more fill points- nothing else. We will, whether you like it or not, gain more and more fill points. I just love to see you turning yourself inside out denying the evidence in front of your eyes. You are unlikely to talk to Safefill because you are frightened of the answers you may get and incidentally, I take it you have rung Morrisons to inform them from the depth of your ignorance that they are filling Safefill Cyliders illegally and if not, why not?  As I say, get on with it. You are not worthy of a reply or a reaction. I have no bad feeling towards you but to virtually call me a liar by using fancy words and phrases on a public forum is disgusting. It says more about you than it does me.

Has anyone received any answers to their enquiries please. Thanks

Hi arty, thanks for your comments. Have you sent any emails? We will get those fill points but as ( and I’m not sorry for saying the forbidden word) Safefill say- Rome wasn’t built in a day. Keep the faith.

I think that this topic has been done to death.   So I have no more to say except the following:

I await with interest the VCA’s response to [Deleted User User]s enquiry.  I am sure he will be happy to publish all the correspondence in full

Finally I am sure that DD will be happy to agree with me that UKLPG is a trade organisation not a statutory body.  Therefore the contravention of one of their guidelines, does not neccesarily mean that unlawful activity has taken place and current legislation has been contravened.

For heavens sake, all Merve is trying to do is help fellow members. Why all the agro! There now 11 pages for bitching mostly pulling Merve to bits, WHY!

I have moved onto a forum where the keyboard warriors are knocked back immediately and the forum is very friendly and helpful to its members. There was a time when I spent quite a bit of time on here reading, but not now I only come on to check for any new subjects.

For a supposedly friendly club, it certainly is not!

IBH- thanks for that. It makes it a drudgery to come on here these days I have to say. but I believe it very worthwhile. You would think I had asked for the Queens head on a plate wouldn’t you? What a sad state of affairs when a perfectly good thread is attacked and diminished! Or rather an attack ad hominem! What is their beef?? The best way to fight back is to make contact with these Garage groups and make our point regarding the new techs surrounding refillables. The only one that has been accepted is Safefill- fact! I hope that we are successful as it will benefit a great deal of people. What forum do you go on?

Thanks to Merve I too purchased a Safefill cylinder over 12 months ago. Best thing I have done. Saved a small fortune in re-fill costs and so convenient. I have suffered no problems in re-filling the cylinder so far. I did get refused at a local Shell garage but on showing the attendant the cylinder and explaining it was perfectly legal he allowed me to continue. I think sometimes it is how you approach and respond to people who question what you are doing more than anything. To those who would try and pull this thread apart I would say Wind your neck in. Anything positive done to spread the word about such a cost saving product such as this can only be a good thing and more power to those people who take the time to promote. Carry on the good work Merve.

Can I take this opportunity to remind the positive contributors to this thread that if they receive a reply from one or both of these garage groups, please post it to the thread and let us know? As said previously, I have had an encouraging reply from Euro Garages so it is worth the effort we make. Thanks to all for your support.

Great buy Lee- excellent. Don’t forget to email these companies so that others might benefit from being able to fill anywhere. Thanks for the post.

The fact is we can fill our safefill bottles in any number of places including Shell and Morrisons in the UK so I'm more than happy, and thats all i'm interested in.

This coming winter whilst out and about I will use gas for all our heating, much more efficient than EHU and hopefully this will help CL users to cut their costs.

A polite reminder to keep this discussion on track. I appreciate that the topic might not be of interest to everyone but it has proven to be helpful to others.

I have also forwarded this discussion to the Technical team at the Club for their reference and potential input. We may need to close this discussion to stop further debate and as the information is available on the OP.

    Many thanks.

I suppose that the important thing is that Morrison's (and others) have done a risk assessment and consider the refilling safe?

No comment DD. You just keep going and when you fall on your face for everyone to see I won’t expect an apology! You are determined to distrust and distract from the obvious facts. I say again- get on with it. While you’re turning yourself inside out trying to get an argument, we have moved on and are enjoying getting more fill points. Yes, you worry about what ‘facts’ brought about their decision. You asked for proof but still you go on and on going nowhere. It would be a pity if Rowena closed this discussion as I have tried very hard to keep it on track but if she does, your victory will be a very hollow one. You will have denied people the option  of posting their replies to the thread. Can I again politely ask you - please keep quiet if you haven’t got anything positive or relevant to say. I’m sure I speak for all those who have come to the thread with a positive attitude. This thread is about getting more fill points. Not about how Safefill got Morrisons or anywhere else!! You are causing trouble where none exists. You ask questions that are perfectly answerable but you won’t find out because it suits your purpose. I am disappointed that you have taken this attitude but it’s not the first time. Please DD, just wait, have some patience and all will be revealed!!
