What are you all up to

Gosh 😲.
We had a leak, turned out to be the seal around the TV aerial. OH fixed. Our readings are generally 0 especially after this heat and dry spell.
I see what you mean. We'll stick with our 14 year old motorhome I think 😉.

We had a fair amount of rain last night but luckily not torrential. The thunder and lightening wasn't too bad either. Bright and breezy here today so I have opened all the windows to get some cool fresh air blowing through the house.

Just been chatting to my sister who has to go out to do a trial walk along Severn Beach near Avonmouth before she takes a group out later in the week, getting the timings right for a return train journey etc. I keep meaning to go out there myself, have been down on the estuary the other side and the RSPB site near Newport, such a big estuary and a lot of mud when the tide goes out. Will be interesting to her how the walk goes.
Much fresher here after a very warm and windy night, a small amount of rain has slightly dampened the ground.

I’d love to do that Mills, if I open windows the house fills with pollen beetles & thunder flies😂😂. The downside of living in an arable area. One of the very few downsides mind😊

We had quite a stormy night with wind and heavy rain. It’s all clear this morning though.

Disappointed not to see the moon last night, too much cloud
We must of had some rain last night but it we had any thunder & lightening I must have slept through it
Bright and breezy today and much cooler. Youngest son is off to SardinIa today, to follow the hot weather! And a friend is off to tour Scotland is his campervan.
I've opened our windows too Millie, as it's still feels stuffy and warm inside. Now just deciding what needs to be done

Thunder and lighting last night with torrential rain, the lighting was very very impressive, we switched the house lights off to see it better. Overcast and, well yes, actually feels chilly in the garden. Car temp shows 18C
Still tomorrow we're off to where the sun shines brightly, we're off to where the sea is blue, but sadly no club sites at all!
If you're staying at home or on your travels everyone have a great time.

Holidaying with Sir Cliff eh?👍🏻😊

I am sure the advantages outweigh the disadvantages R2B. I can open the windows and let in some air but we live in a town so probably not such fresh air

Thunder and lightening for a very short time last night but the rain fell most of the night, not heavy just a nice consistent fall, so ground had plenty of time to soak it all up.
This morning it was overcast as we headed out to Kirkcaldy but the sun came out and it was quite pleasant. Didn't get what I wanted there so carried onto Dundee and got it there instead.
Didn't get to see the Blood Moon as too much cloud, typical, we've had very little clouds for weeks and the one night you want to be cloud free they form
Managed to get most of the things we will need for the new caravan, I've gone a bit daft and bought all new bedding to match the new furnishing
not something I usually do.

That crossed my mind this morning Husky. Had he misbehaved?
Hope you've enjoyed your non shop day.?
Heavy shower this morning, once cleared Been sunny with odd clouds 😃. Rather breezy, not chilly but distinctly cooler about 24c very nice. Ended up with all day with friend, walk to our local park and museum - she'd never been despite only growing up a couple of miles away. Late lunch and good natter outside at garden centre cafe stayed so long we had cake too 😃😃. She's just left. OH been pottering in the garden.

Don't get those down here like we used too. My mum still lives in the house I grew up in the country. As a kid the windowsills were deep in thunder bugs, rare to see them now. We stayed at Fields End Water near March recently and I was reminded what a pain grey are 😉

I did that too when we got our new caravan a few years ago Tammygirl. I also took the opportunity to replace various things like crockery, oven dishes etc 😊 I found Dunhelm very useful.

I'm not usually one to splash the cash if its not required but there are times when you just feel like it, so new bedding, material to make protective covers for the seat bases and some bolster cushions which we keep our bedding in.
The thing is the colour scheme of this van is pale grey with yellow accents, the MH was beige and heather so my excuse is nothing will look right
Also thinking of new saucepans, I like the idea of the collapsible Kampa ones just not sure how they will stand up to the job. Cutlery and crockery I did not long ago so they are fine.
OH gets all new toys to play with so why not me

OH did the new bedding bit, duvet plus sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, when we got the current van 10 years back , we put Ikea vouchers on our Christmas list! Sheets are from Lidl.
We also got some throws from Ikea, really cheaply, that I sewed into fitted seat covers.
Otherwise we moved most stuff over from the previous van, but did buy some domestic quality pots and pans and dumped our old camping ones. And got some decent cutlery.
Recently we replaced our 50 year old (yes, really) melamine plates etc with those white glass ones from Ikea.
