One charge per day would be enough, Tammygirl and this can be done by plugging in to a caravan 3 pin socket overnight, free of charge!
Even at £3.50 a day, it's a lot cheaper than buying unleaded petrol! I get more than that in drop money and tips. So still a profitable win win for me!

With respect I don't want some person or a machine telling me what temperature I should have in my home , I'm quite happy to take whatever nature sends me , at this time I am sitting in my conservatory watching the birds in the bird bath and it's a pleasant 80 degrees

I have wondered a few times about the usefullnes of EV charge points on P&R sites. Often just a handfull and in use by hybrids mainly. Users seem likely to be commuters that arrive early to travel to work and therefore block the charging bay for some 9 hours or so. Doesn't seem so useful somehow.

A lot of early risers and departures from here this morning,,maybe hoping to miss the traffic and heat, Lyndhurst was the usual big holdup yesterday, must have been over two miles of held up traffic coming south,,and anyone heading this way Tuesday Wed Thurs this week it will be bad as the New Forest show is on at Brockenhurst

What a fantasy and blinkered world you live in Malcolm. A/C is not good for everyone as you have been advised many times.
I personally will only use for short periods in the car, to initially drop the temp if its been sat in the sun for awhile. Much prefer to have the window open for fresh air. In years gone by we always had a sunroof on the car sadly they are few and far between nowadays
smart system that automatically turns the aircon on as soon as the temperature exceeds 25 degrees celsius. surely that already happens, every aircon unit we have had in apartments and cabins on board cruise ships have a thermostatic control.

Brighter morning today no sun as yet but I can see patches of blue sky and they promised sun later today. Up earlier than usual so having a bit of me time while OH is still counting the Zzzzzz
should go and give him a call really.
Off to see Mum this morning and give her hair a cut while I'm there, might even take her out for a bit. The home have now allocated her a wheelchair as at times she gets tired and has trouble walking more than a few steps. She won't give in though and go to bed for a nap, very frustrating for the careers I'm sure but its not something she has ever done and I can't see that changing any time soon.
Then I guess it will be back home to tackle either the garden (really do need to get the new plants in) if not the garden then it will be more emptying of the MH and sorting out what we need and don't need. OH been tasked with photographing advertising unwanted items.

Bright here but very warm already 😃 22.4c in the shade. Sorted the 4 bags from mum's yesterday recycling and charity stuff separated. As we've not been around for last 3 collections of the black bins, now fortnightly, not sure if it'll go in so maybe a dump run but not today as it's quieter in the week. Chores day, one load of washing out, bedding in the machine as I type once finished will visit elderly aunt taking the lawn mower in case. Maybe the sunny warm weather will have cheered her 😉. Good flick round the house giving the impression it's clean and sparkly 😉😂.
Enjoy your day folks

Please can we leave off further mention of aircon to help keep the thread varied. Discretion will be used as to whether to delete further attempts to continue the subject.
Thanks.

Bakers your day trying to sort your Mum out very like mine. Mum has numerous glory holes, I couldn't begin to guess the age of some of it, lots of my Nans stuff. Won't part with anything! There are some gems, there is some trash, but it will be for another day!
My day in the garden paid dividends yesterday. Looks loads better, found some little flowering treasures quietly going about surviving amidst lots of overgrowth. The unwanted hop was given the chop, that's opened things up lovely. Decision made on the hedge Bottom that gets least sunlight, going to clear it, bark the border, but put some big containers along it full of colourful shrubs. It does get sun, but not all day. I am not too knowledgeable about Hydrangeas, but fancy a couple of these, so if anyone can help in terms of how good a particular one is growing in partial shade, please pass on tips! I want something for Spring as well, and going to use a couple of nice Acers for foliage.
Off for a new garden incinerator today, our cuttings from few weeks ago dry as a bone.....burn baby burn! But carefully!

What am I up to today?
I got up at 06:45 a.m., made a pot of tea and then we had cereal followed by boiled egg for breakfast. I put the relaxers out on the lawn and sat out there for a while with a glass of cold Tropicana Orange juice with extra juicy bits!
Then I went back to bed and slept for another hour.
I woke up and made myself a tomato juice with Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce and salt added which spiced up it up nicely! Once again I sat outside in the relaxer for that.
Then it was time for lunch for which we had a homemade soup with French bread. It had pork, tomatoes and mixed vegetables in it. Delicious!
Now back to bed for my afternoon nap before getting up again to make the trip to the house and visit my cousin to collect our mail. He phoned me yesterday to say that two letters had come for us yesterday.
This evening I'm due into work from 18:30 to 23:00. Next weeks rota should be available this evening.

TG when we emptied the MH it took 3 days there were things in there that I never knew were there it was ridiculous. When the CVan arrived we agreed only things we used would be going in the van and so far 8 months in we have stuck to that its great having cupboards empty in the van where as the MH was full. It eas a great opportunity to clear out plus the payload on the CVan is a lot leas than the MH so need to be ruthless.

Its another very hot day here today so I got up early and went a nice 14 mile cycle along to Shanklin when I came back there were a few vans waiting at reception so they must have arrived on an early boat. Just sitting with a coffee now think we are having a relaxing day on site today won't be going far anyway might just sit and watch the Tour De France BIl is away golfing so think sister is staying on site today too.

Went for a walk in the rain this morning!
Actually it was just mizzle but that's not as dramatic. Didn't last long enough either. 2 hours later it was sweltering as I got back home. Quick shower, coffee and then some food shopping at our local farm shop.
House is very quiet as there's no building work going on at the end of the cul-de-sac, plus the women of the house are away on hols.
Had a number of floaters in my right eye today. They are very discombobulating. They come and go at will.

Our eldest daughter and a grandson have arrived for a few days holiday. It's a bit disconcerting when our eldest grandson is old enough to stay at home and look after himself (and go to work). We usually have their dog on holiday as well, but Grandson 1 has asked for her to stay at home and keep him company.
It's great having a willing (so far) young helper around the house.

Just back from a lovely week away at 2 first class CLs - Woodville near Shrewsbury and Rowley Farm near Leominster. Great weather for the week so lots of walking and a couple of visits to NT houses. Pictures to follow but first, apparently, I must get on with sorting out the van before it goes back to storeage!

Some pictures from our stay at Woodville CL. The first is the view of Pontesford Hill and Earl's Hill - they can be reached direct from the site. The others are the views from the summit.

I'm only a few years younger than you and my grandson's ages are all single figures. I attribute it to having taken a long time to read the instructions.

And some from nearby NT Attingham Park.
