Well done to Rotherham tonight. I saw the first, very entertaining 2-2 game on tv and was looking forward to tonight's instalment, but SWMBO decided it was her turn for the remote tonight!
On another note.....what odds Moyes back to Goodison now the "Bung-Taker" is on the dole???

All change I see, have'nt been on for ages, as I have been living in the caravan for over a year, sold our house in Nottingham and bought a property with my daughter and partner and will soon be living in our little annexe next to our grandson. Have gone from living by Nottingham Forest who seem to be sorting themselves out after the disaster of previous owner, and now living by Burton Albion. Have renewed season tickets at Forest and looking forward to new campaign.
Was not really looking forward to World Cup, I did not have the usual excitement, but my how that has changed, good look to the boys

So good to see you posting again, Pauline ! It's almost time for the Annual 'How's My Team Going to Do' party now. Strange isn't it that we all wish each other the very best results until they play Our Teams . At least I won't have too much to worry about, down in the depths of League 2 ( or Fourth Division as I remember it ). After the World Cup winds up, I just hope & pray that the only news about footy is on the sports { back } pages and nowhere else !
Take care, and have fun .

The Stanley result was a wake up call which has fallen on deaf ears.
Having beaten Bury 4-0 in their first friendly the Terriers have gone steadily down hill. They've played 3 45 minute games in something called the Interwetten Cup finishing fourth out of four. They did manage a 1-1 draw with Darmstadt in a full length game before leaving Germany.
We'll see what the new signings are like it's our one and only home friendly tomorrow evening against Olympique Lyonnaise the GS and I will be there it's becoming a bit of a tradition.

My GS was talking about cutting up his season ticket because Town have sold his favourite player to Nottingham Forest.
Good luck to Michael Hefele at his new team, he'll always be remembered for scoring a last minute winner against Leeds and the equaliser against Villa with his backside 👏👏⚽️⚽️

Don't be embarrassed Brian I'm always mis-reading things.
We are both looking forward to the new season starting tomorrow. Chelski at home in front of a full house at the JSS what's not to like especially if we can replicate the result that we had at the Bridge last season.
Herr Wagner has issued his usual rallying cry to supporters that he expects us to provide the same atmosphere "from the first whistle "
We've made some interest signings this window the latest has just given an interview in French with sub-titles.

Having played last year's champions and the current champions for our first two games and been put firmly in our place we've got Cardiff at home tomorrow.
Hoping for a good match and three points.
Whilst away in Devon last week we went to watch Tiverton Town, really enjoyed the match and watching a team at the top of its division. The gate was 203 ( it would have been a round 200 without us!)
A goal difference of +5 is the stuff that only dreams are made of, Town currently have -9 after only two matches

Great game at The Molineux today. Could have gone either way right up to the last kick.
A few years since I was last there, in fact I'm pretty sure Derek Dougan was playing.
I was very young at the time of course......🤔

This refereeing lark is really confusing. Here's the situation. Cardiff player and our player put their heads together in the box, Cardiff player goes down like he's been pole axed. Play is on the halfway line and the ref is up with play so he has clearly not seen anything . The linesman ( I can't bring myself to call him assistant referee because he doesn't assist anybody ) doesn't see anything because he doesn't flag. The referee cottons on that something is happening in our penalty area because he stops play and trots back to sort things out. Finally he strolls across to the touch line to consult his "assistant " who remember hasn't flagged for a foul, but is obviously keen to assist, the referee then books the Cardiff player , red cards our player and gives us a free kick!
if anyone can explain that I'd be grateful.

I think they must have opened a 'Coiled Spring Manufactury' or something round here !!
Best team in the County Palatine at present.
But will they be in that position when I return from Scotland in three weeks time ??
Don't forget, Folks, it's early days yet !!
