If you go to a chosen restaurant and your particularly favourite dish if off the menu is this a fundamental change to circumstances ?

So - Chrystal - what is wrong with others using pitches (which presumably have been paid for) in order to do filming? was the filming on site or elsewhere?
Gunshot sounds - well that is usually bird scarers - a common noise in the countryside from time to time
As to the 'uneven , dusty road,' was that on site or within the purview of the local council?
Did you report the 'blocked and smelly waste' to the warden and did he/she deal with it?
A little more detail would be appreciated by most of us

R&R, I think you need to accept that as a newcomer to the forum you are not aware of undercurrents or history.🙁

Over the years we have rarely stayed on a site in the U.K. without paying upfront. The CAMC are perhaps unique in guaranteeing to refund the balance, less one night, if 72 hours notice is not given. Or refunding it all if you move onto another CAMC site.

How has this thread turned from the topic of the rather strange OP into launching a volley of posts based around paying on arrival?
Puzzled, you bet I am.

124 posts almost entirely hostile or downright rude and nobody seems to be able to see the principal issue, paying in advance.
The OP seems to have been particularly obscure in avoiding the naming of the site. As for paying in advance; in the UK sites can get particularly busy. One can choose to pay on a day by day basis and leave when desired which is fine IMO..

but your quoting as if you are touring in the UK David, nowhere have you stated that all the stuff you are saying as fact is over there and not in the UK. A little economical with the facts there David?
So you didn't once pay a booking fee for a site over there?

Anyway busy so will leave it there

Only the one comment from me on the OP :--
Slight Change Of Circumstances at Poolsbrook Club Site on 7th & 8th July 2018.
The Club was efficient enough to warn me, by E-Mail, that due to Military Celebrations on the roads in Poolsbrook Country Park and around the Club Site, access/egress may well be restricted between 10 am & 5 pm on both days. Passes would be available from Reception should they be needed.
I could have checked/changed my booking had I wanted to but I decided, in order to vary my chosen intinerary as little as possible, to have early breakfasts on both days & scoot off to where I wanted to be just a little early.
That seems to me to cover the OP quite nicely,

I am trying to think of a previous poster, no longer with us, that was fond of the Hitch Hikers Guide, once I have, quite why this thread, long dead through boredom, has been resurrected, may reveal all! Someone, somewhere, is very very bored and giving the pot a little stir..........

IF the club agreed with the op and that wardens are to contact members of noise, dust or any other issue, apart from shower, toilet or electricity issue what would you do, it's Friday morning, van packed, kids excited, beer / wine chilling ready, WHAT do you do, all sites nearby full.

I think that if there are long term inconveniences, such as main road noise, or no mobile signal, then they should be included in the site description. Buyer beware. Temporary issues such as reduced shower capacity could be updated on the Web, and could lead to waiving club no show penalties if they have been posted less than 72 hours before a booked arrival and the member has advised the club.
TV crews are just ordinary people like you and I, some may even have dogs 😳 so no complaints there - unless they are inconveniencing other through noise at unsocial hours.
