It could be said that the 'private sector' is where people end up when they can't get a job, due to lack of education or experience for example, in the public sector?

So Crystal have you grasped the concept of the 72 hour rule? What you are talking about has nothing to do with it.

Also have you taken up the invitation by the club to get in contact?

    To All,

I would like to put a few things straight on this blog.

I am a fully paid up member of a club of which  I have become accustomed to very high standards. As well as paying membership I have also paid £30.00 + per night for what I see as below CC&M standards.

I have not lied about any of the events, which may seem petty to some.

I have never experienced any of the events before and don’t wish to again.

I will not be naming the sites as it is unfair to the lovely wardens, most of which was out of their control.

I have reported it. No Answer yet.

The club are aware of my disabilities.

    We also read the reviews.

Well it would have been the wardens responsibility to keep the pitch waste clear. They would have been the ones aware of bird scarers. They probably would have been the ones that would have contacted you regarding problems on site.

Good post Chrystal. Most of us appreciate that you are disappointed with the site and feel let down by the CMC.  You are quite right to raise this for discussion especially as you have reported the facts to Head office. --- To not divulge the name of the site does you credit. The negativity to your situation shown by a few on here is regrettable. The majority of us are kind, considerate and sympathetic to the plight of others, so don't hesitate to start any discussion in the future

I hope you get a reply from Grimstead very soon.  Good Luck.

    cool

Sorry Chrystal but with this sentence, or last four words, you have blown your whole argument out of the water and, indeed further muddies the waters.

If it was indeed out of their control then I am sure they don't mind the site being named. And even naming the site (if as you say it exists) then how does that name the wardens unless you do a lot of digging.

Btw  which 'event' happened on which site.

don’t wish to again. So you never want to see a camera crew on site, or hear bird scarers, or road noise? You might be OK with the first but not the other two. Well good luck

Chrystal - hopefully you will get a reply from HO and then maybe you'll be more relaxed about giving more details. It would certainly be helpful to others who might find themselves in a similar situation in future.

What TW says above is 100% correct - nobody has said you were lying, nobody has expressed any lack of belief as far as I can see. Don't be persuaded that that is the case by anyone on here, least of all those who have made no attempt to answer your original question.

Hopefully, you will get a satisfactory answer from HO, though it may be some time off, and hopefully you will have more good experiences on club sites than not. smile

In this day and age ,wouldn’t it be easy for each CC site to have a page they could update quickly if something breaks like the showers ? Then all you need to do is check the website before you go be that 5 days 3 days or even as you pull off the drive . You would then have a choice.

‘It would be great to have an app for that.

as for noises , dusty roads etc. That is part of why we all love being mobile and the countryside. And possibly dealt with via trip advisor. I don’t think it’s for the club to worry about given each CC’s access statement should cover access quality.

Blocked drains happen, often because someone has shoved something down them they should not have.

Uneven dusty roads. Not come across them on a CAMC site. Yes on access roads, but then the sites tend to be remote enough not to suffer from early morning traffic noise.

Chrystal you really do need to tell us what sites you are referring to.

I’d give up, Steve. Innuendos and obscure references is all we're likely to get. It’s a bit of a non-thread really with facts being so thin on the ground.frown

Steve - I'm not sure it's worth responding any more. I'd thought the thread has just about reached a conclusion when Chrystal said they'd been in touch with HO about things and were waiting to hear back. Then there was that rather curious comment about lay byes! I think maybe we're being wound up here, though doubtless someone will be along soon to say that it's all perfectly logical and we should be showing more empathy! wink

    Hi

I've tried to have some input as a site warden but that has been ignored.

If the op comes back to this then I'll state that IF staying on a club site your first port of call with any issues at all should be with the site staff. You will also get a quicker response if needed from HO if there is an official complaint via the site. Coming on an open to the public forum, which is accessed by all, including non members, will open discussion and debate but not answer a complaint.

Obviously there are no wardens available in a layby so you could ignore the abovefoot-in-mouthwink
