Thanks to Mr. Route, EasyT, Deleted User User, trellis, SteveL and DEBSC for all your kind wishes in your recent posts.

To answer the question re: my wife's visa application, there is still no result yet and still under consideration with the Home Office that are still holding on to all the paperwork and her passport.

I can't post on here anymore because the topics of discussion that are of interest to me are, seemingly, not permitted on here. There is, therefore, the risk that some posters on here, will press the report button, resulting in the CM throwing the book at me about being seen or interpreted as breaching the T&Cs. If I am banned as a result of this, it would affect my ability to log on, to use other parts of the clubs online facilities, such as site booking etc. which I need to use. So I am not prepared to take that risk!

This forum is supposed to be a friendly and entertaining place but unfortunately, there were posters on here that chose to act in a hostile manner against me. As I was unhappy to continue to remain in what appeared to me to be a snakepit and a place that was becoming stressful rather than entertaining because of the witch hunt against me. So I decided enough was enough!

Malc, I’ve noticed some of your detractors don’t post now that you are taking a back seat. I’d say that speaks volumes☹️

,Malc i am sorry to hear you are "worried "about being reported and it affecting other areas of the clubs website ,it should not,,i think there are several (me included) who have been reported for comments that although, not really upsetting for most, have touched a nerve of the "more sensitive" of this website,so do not be put off winksmile

I have also noticed recently numerous posts being "taken out" without any explanation as to what the reason has been,or who has done it?undecidedfrown

Best wishes Malc. It is indeed an unfortunate state of affairs that you are unable to post for fear of loosing Login to bookings etc. Nothing you ever posted should warrant such an action in my opinion.

I would think JVB is correct, a ban from CT for whatever reason is not the same as being thrown out of the Club.  Only then would you not be able to book on line.

Not quite, KJ. A ban suspends website access - ie the booking system as well as CT. 'Reviewing' membership can follow on from a ban on accessing the site.

"We will delete posts where we feel appropriate and if we feel a person has contravened our guidelines we will contact the person to advise and, depending on the situation, we may decide to suspend their website access without prior warning. If we have contacted the person previously to ask them to abide by the guidelines and they ignore our advice and continue to post in a way that contravenes guidelines, it may result in their account being locked.

If the person's online account has been unlocked, and they continue to deliberately cause offense, disrupt the community, create disharmony and/or be abusive to other people on Club Together, the Caravan and Motorhome Club will review the person's membership and appropriate action will be taken. If a person re-registers on the community under an alias when their account has been locked we will take this very seriously and again will review the person's membership and appropriate action will be taken."

Good to hear from you, Malcolm. You don't say but I assume you and Mrs M are in good health and enjoying the current fine weather down on the south coast.

Yesterday was rather damp with lots of low cloud here in mid Wales so we just drove down to Builth and walked a stretch of the Wye Valley Way. But today has been much better and we've been up to the Elan Valley, walking the Elan Valley Way and then driving the circuit around the three reservoirs. Very scenic with great views both down to the water and up into the mountains. Just back now and sitting in glorious sunshine with a cuppa looking out over the meadow to the hills onthe other side of the valley where there's a cuckoo calling competing with all the sheep! Also a pair of Red Kites circling around from the wood behind the site. It's be hard to hear this!

Thanks for that info TW, not a bit I have had cause to read before.

    We better all behave ourselves!

After another very warm day, we are now having thunder and very heavy rain, just finished washing the caravan and trimming the neighbour's hedge before it started.  Hopefully it will clear the air.

Well now you know Kj and by the way, someone referring to this thread as "a snake pit" is not exactly being friendly towards other contributors, new or old.

    IMHO of course.....cool

someone referring to this thread as "a snake pit"

I might feel that it was a 'snake pit' if I was continually bitten in the arse by needless reports from folk that disagreed with my posts

I consider the whole point to be that Malc didn’t say it was fact but stated what it (understandably) appeared to be to him.

There’s nothing wrong with any of us saying how things appear - that’s personal opinion - but the problem arises if we state such opinions as fact, which he didn’t.

I think it only applies to the CT website, or i would hope it does as it would be a very much draconian if it is applied across all the site  undecided

Website access is website access. The login facility would be withdrawn. Hence, no access to booking, the forum, or anything else on the website.

We have had a nice day today. This afternoon we went to The Summerlee heritage centre in Lanarkshire which was very interesting and entry was free. We had lunch in the cafe there which was good and reasonably priced if anyone is in the area it is worth a visit and it charts the history of heavy industry in the area. When we left Summerlee it started pouring and there was thunder and lightening. Its brightened up a bit now but a bit chilly to sit out so we are confined to the van tonight.

We are all packed ready for our trip to Norfolk tomorrowlaughing. We watched to highlights of the Trooping of the Colour this evening.  Absolutely wonderful. We do these events so well. The hurricane and the 2 spitfires flew over our house this  morning presumably on their way to the fly past. I think they were flying from Coningsby. It was quite emotional to see them.
