Crit'Air Issue Urgent
Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to have Crit'Air s stickers emailed? We have just altered our travel plans to visit France and Spain leaving next week for 6 weeks and the web site looks as though they are sent out by post which is too late. Also, how can you send copies of V5 document if you don't have a scanner ??
Thanks- in anticipation

No idea about if they can be emailed. However, if you have a smartphone (or digital camera) can't you photograph your V5 and send it as a jpeg attachment. I have done that with other things. If the file size is a bit large, you could reduce it first, as you need to do to post on CT.

The first question I would ask is are you actually going near any of the cities that require a sticker? If not why bother this trip.
Scanning is the most reliable way of getting a copy, do you not know anyone with a scanner or perhaps the local library? You could do as Steve suggests but you would have to be certain that all the detail could be seen. I know phone cameras are very good now.

I always use Adobe scan on my android phone. Then you can send by txt messenger email or print. And the best part it's free lol

I have just applied for one, and noticed that it is not just City centres now. Has been extended to include some rural regions, such Eure et Loire.
In typical French fashion, the regs only apply when Monsieur le Mayor decides there is too much Gauloise smoke in the air.

When I got mine last year I initially got an email with the invoice and temporary certificate attached. This can be used until the actual sticker arrives. Mine only took a few days.
Just for information, the instructions say that the sticker should be positioned on the (UK) offside of the windscreen. It is totally permissible to have it on the UK nearside of the windscreen according to the Air Quality Certificate Service as shown below:-

Sorry, posted the question not the answer. Which is:-
Vous pouvez placer votre certificat qualité de l’air du coté gauche de votre pare-brise, il faut que votre certificat soit bien visible à distance en cas de contrôle par les forces de police

Can't remember the exact time frame but mine came quite quickly. It's stuck on the offside of the windscreen which is where those that need to know would look for it.

Thanks everyone for your helpful advice . I ve managed to get my v5 scanned to a memory card and am waiting for someone to compress the pdf sizes so they can be attached ( I m not that computer savvy ) . We will be stopping on one site for 19 nights and I contacted them to see if they accept mail - and they do . So , the plan is that once the scanned pdf it compressed , I ll have the sticker sent to the campsite where we will be staying . In the meantime , I will have the emailed invoice to show that the crit -air is being processed . In addition , my better half says there is no way we will get lost and wander into the ‘zones’ 🤔!!!!
I cant believe how a simple application is fraught with obstacles and all for a few measly pounds. Hey ho - at least forum members are always on hand to help - thank you again x

Am not tech minded and I had the same problem and trauma compressing the file size.
The solution via forum advice was to scan V5 in black and white as apparently this reduces the file size. I had managed it prior though.
2018 and progress mmmmmm
My understanding was that the region may elect to impose the zone limits as and when but non display of disc is a factor though.

I haven't got a scanner, nor a compressor, nor a smart phone with an app to do a day by day check of which areas are imposing restrictions - so I filed crit-air under the heading of Important But Difficult, and will be setting off across France next week without a sticker. I will let you know how we get on or if we are arrested !

As we may venture from these shores in the future, could somebody explain what Crit' Air is all about please?

There is a sticky at the top of this page with links to the various environmental stickers in Europe which should explain what you need to know. Mind you it does seem to change on an almost daily basis!
