A28 via Rouen
Hi All
Were traveling down the A28 via Rouen to Le Mans then onto Ile de re. Does anyone know if we will require emissions/zone stickers on that route. We are traveling end of June first week of July.
Thanks

Have a look at the official French website here https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/ I think currently it's only Paris, Lyon and Grenoble that require the sticker but no doubt it will be extended to other large cities in time. The website above should give you all the information you need but my guess is that you won't need one.

Tommy, another option if you are heading towards Le Mans is to miss the Rouen traffic altogether by staying on the A29 as far as the Yvetot junction and then going due south across the high level Pont de Brotonne.

Why not just get a Crit'air sticker - they're only a few quid and last the lifetime of your vehicle ?
Then no worries wherever you go in France.
There will be at least 22 areas in France needing the sticker by 2020.

Look at the Green Zones App on phone or Green Zones Eu website which gives the current requirements and areas affected . Your intended route probably passes through some areas. The Criti Air Badge only seems to be required when a high level of pollution is reached though as per previous posts its far simpler just to get one.
Readers should note that simply having the badge does not necessarily allow passage through an area particularily if you have a higher rated badge e.g 4 or 5. In times of high pollution levels the app or similar should be checked to ensure no restrictions are in place, the fines mentioned are quite substantial 68-375 euro`s
Each area in the App has a current status section where you can check the situation before continuing.
It all seems a bit hit and miss at the moment not all the areas within a named area are necessarily affected it all depends on the pollution level.
The one consolation to bear in mind is most of the French won`t understand it either.

I am pretty certain that I scanned mine and converted it to a .jpeg using the save as function and attached it to the form.
