Anyone toured Poland recently?
I wonder if anyone has any up to date information about touring round Poland? My route would be via The Netherlands and mainly the north and west of Poland with a focus on the Baltic coast and the Mazurian Lake District area.
Any tips will be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris.

We drove from Amsterdam, through northern Germany and into Poland about 2 weeks ago. Poland is a wonderful country and very friendly.
Unfortunately some of the roads are dire and the section of motorway east of Zagan was the worst road surface I have ever, ever, driven on.
Don’t let that put you off though, the country is well worth exploring. We didn’t go to the lakes are but drove south to the Czech Republic and Prague where the road system is a dream compared to some in Poland.
On the way through Germany we stayed at Bunde (on a very good Stellplatz in the town centre) and at Camping Dresden which I would recommend. There are still lots of road improvement schemes on the go in Germany and the A2 is no exception. If you’re able to drive through Germany on a Saturday or Sunday when the wagons are few it’s less frustrating.

Our old friends Margaret and Barry have been there in each of the last few years. Try their website which has sections for each of the countries they have visited. http://www.magbaztravels.com/
Poland is here http://www.magbaztravels.com/content/category/8/92/30/

Good day all
Being new to this site, anyway i have a home in poland ie what is called the lake district of poland where you have 1001 lakes ( mazury ) olsztyn being the biggest town. ,, there is a vast amount places to visit here , and the climate is superb, for camping and motorhomes its easy to get around and parking up for the night, is no problem, also you are made to feel welcome here and majority of people in shops restaurants, speak english.
Anyway if anyone has any questions feel free to ask
