Thanks all for the anniversary good wishes.

Had a lovely day in North Norfolk firstly at (NT) Blickling Hall then on to NWT site at Cley.  Ended day by going to dinner in a newly renovated pub just outside Norwich with the bonus that the Lee Vasey Band were playing, brilliant.

Your day sounds lovely Oneputt, smile

This morning there isnt a cloud in the sky cool

I'm enjoying a cup of tea in the sunshine with a fab view over the cotswolds, listening to a Cuckoo, the first this year, it's a rare sound these days. Off to check out a local farm shop this morning that has been recommended.

OH says check to see if you can change the inner cartridge before buying a new tap. We had  a problem in one of our caravans one year after the winter, we hadn't managed to expel all the water and it froze cracking the inner ceramic mixer cartridge. OH managed to buy one from our local dealer and fit it himself. Much less cost than a new tap.

Please thank your OH Tammygirl we don' seem to have anything other than tubes going in, including the shower hose which we suspect is the issue. It's an older motorhome 14 years, is it being a teenager? The bathroom tap pulls out on the shower 'pipe' to become the shower. Can replace the hose but suspect it can't be treaded through the recoiling mechanism actually in the tap innards with the screw fixing ends on. He spent ages discussing it in the accessory shop yesterday. Sadly no one has any space to fit anything for weeks/months 😲😭 assuming they can source one,  missed one by an hour yesterday!  So we'll cope on trips, not going to waste our asset 😃.

Lovely sunny day here today, blue skies and little clouds looks like its finally managed to get here smile

Off to the school shortly to see our grand -daughter smile

Bakers2, didn't realise it was that type of tap can understand the problems now, hope you manage to get it sorted at some stage, at least it won't prevent you from using the MH.

Another clear blue sky this morning. Today is the Irish Setter Rescue Walk in Matlock Woods. I think it might well be too hot and too far for Harry, but we'll set off and see how things go. I may have to sit and socialise with the other oldies (the dogs, that is! wink), whilst the youngsters complete the walk. There's always the afternoon tea to look forward to!

The good weather seems pretty widespread so I hope everyone who'a away is making the most of it. smile

Good to read all the news and see the photos too. We got up early today and went to nearby Forde Abbey, in time for the start of the day there, nearly the first in so had a lot of it to ourselves. It's tulip time there and I realised if we left it till later in the week the hot weather would soon end the displays. It's a very old place, 900 years of history, a former Cistercian abbey so very watery and tranquil. There are always lots of lovely flowers and plants there. Dogs are welcome. The house is also worth a visit, not grand and still lived in, we had a coffee in the crypt on the way out. Couldn't resist the plant sales either, they were selling off good sized pots of tulips for £1.95...too good to resist. We used our GW card, £10 saved. A lovely morning out. smile

Another fantastic day in East Norfolk.  Decided to go to SWT reserve at Carlton Marshes to see the American Bittern.  No luck in seeing this shy creature but did see and hear a couple of cuckoos and even managed to snap this one.

Not preaching but please take care in this sun and splash on the sun screensmile

A blue Danube day. Lovely 25 mile cycle in brilliant sunshine. Pooped now. Glad the weather has picked up at home.

Oneputt, if you are intending to travel on the A3 in Germany then expect long delays around Wurzburg and Nuremburg, or travel on a Sunday.

Well, we had a brilliant day for the rescue walk today - I don't like to say too hot, but it was certainly too hot and too hard a walk for Harry, so Mrs M went off with Lady whilst us oldies sat and socialised in the garden. Over 40 dogs there,  all varieties of Setter and one or two other breeds, and over £1000 raised for the charity. Some pictures to give you an idea of the occasion. smile

Enjoyed reading about the Setter walk Moulesy, a good sum raised. We can't take our old terrier out on long walks now, just an amble or two at a very slow pace. smile

Oneputt, we saw a cuckoo overhead being mobbed by crows but have so far not heard one locally. Quite sad if they are not here anymore. frown

Lovely day had with Grand-daughter and other grand parents. The pipes & drums were very good (as usual) the Scottish dancers also very good. Then into chapel for the morning service followed by the whole school on parade, accompanied by the pipes & drums.

This will be the last public parade, until the last day of term at the end of June. When they have the biggest parade of the academic year, called Grand Day. Very long day for all concerned, also a very emotional day for those leaving as it will have been their home for the last 7 or 8 years.

The school is now starting the prep for exams which they take in the next few weeks. Lots of very serious faces today in chapel when this was mentioned.

The weather couldn't have been kinder to them today, nice and sunny with a gentle breeze so not to hot for them marching or standing on parade. This was the first time our grand-daughter had been on parade and not been freezing laughing

Then onto Bannockburn for lunch, which was very nice. Back to school around 16.00 to allow her to get her prep work done for lessons tomorrow and tidy her room prior to inspection this evening. Lovely to spend time with her but it doesn't get any easier saying goodbye cry

Reading through the post it sounds as if everyone else also had a lovely day.

Sounds as if everyone has had a good day both with the weather and on their trips. Lovely pictures from M, H&T and Brue. We too had a fine sunny day, so firstly we got the washing machine out and OH did the washing while sat and enjoyed the sun.laughing Then a walk up in the woods above the site before lunch and another down by Loch Tay this afternoon. We now have a deep red sky tonight.
