edited May 2018 in UK Campsites & Touring #1

We’re delighted to announce the Club has purchased a second new UK site in 2018. The award winning Bingham Grange Touring & Camping Park has joined our network of Club sites as Bridport Bingham Grange Caravan and Motorhome Club Site and is available to book now.

Located in Dorset and just a few miles from West Bay and Bridport seaside towns, this popular touring park is in an idyllic setting overlooking an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its convenient location is perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast from Lyme Regis to Weymouth & Portland, including the magnificent Chesil Beach. Further inland, rolling hills and picturesque villages are the inspiration of Hardy's novels and you can’t leave the county without a visit to Dorset's county town, Dorchester.

Pitches at Bingham Grange are meticulously landscaped to preserve the rural ambiance of the estate. Grange Garden’s mature planting provides shelter and privacy for touring vehicles, while tent campers will love Valley View field’s stunning countryside views and amazing sunsets.

Onsite facilities are housed in an attractive honeystone barn at the centre of the site. Here you will find Buzzard’s Restaurant serving a variety of delicious meals, a small shop and award-winning individual shower rooms. Bridport Bingham Grange has previously been awarded AA Campsites 5 Gold pennants and a ‘Platinum’ award from ‘Loo of the Year’. Dog owners will love the all-weather dog walk area which extends along two sides of the site and is one of the largest on any caravan park in Dorset.

Prices start from just £24 per night based on two adults and a standard pitch and are available to book soon. I will add the link once the site page is live.

We hope you will join us in celebrating this great news and we look forward to welcoming you on site this summer.

'From just £24 a night' sounds a tad pricey. Is the area that busy off peak?

    Hunter's moon from £18.90

looking the pics on their main page, is it just me but where are the (tow) cars?

And that 10A supply will have to be upgraded to club standardssmile

but this should make people happy, small camper van pitches

    but of course this nonsense will have to go;

Your booking may be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit of just £50, the balance to be paid 28 days prior to arrival

You will all like it, it's set in lovely rolling countryside with easy access into the back of Bridport and also Beaminster. I'm glad the club have finally got a site in East Dorset. This site is set close to the Jurassic coast between Weymouth and Lyme Regis, lots to see on the coast and some interesting places inland too. Me, I shall just be driving past, I'll give you a wave if you're around....except you'll be hidden, it's set well back from the road. smile

but this nonsense will have to go:

Also the prices are per two adults only and

Dog (per dog, per night) – £2.50
Gazebos / Pup tent (Grass Pitch Only) – £2.00
Extra Adult (Not permitted during Bank Holiday periods) – £10.00

no wonder it was sold off, who'd book that?smile

It always looked very busy Corners, I think the "adult only" users will miss it, it's a prime site in the area, the rest are huge with statics etc this is in an unspoilt spot. There are some CLs nearby, there's a CS along the same road.

No doubt and I'm not saying they shouldn't spend their money how they wish. I was just comparing it to normal club prices and practices for those that believe the club is the epitome of high prices. A party of four adults plus dog in peak comes in at £53.50 per night.

There are other in this chain I believe?

Chew Valley are in the same group but I think they all operate independently. Anyway, that's now one less and some will be disappointed as it's a site "far from the madding crowd." smile

It not quite as great a difference as it seems, as currently only open mid March to the end of October, where as. HM is open all year. Currently it is £21.90.
