Rain started just after lunch,
Mind you I've spent the afternoon in the warm and dry, catching up with a friend, chatting, drinking tea and eating hot cross buns
So not all bad!
Goldie, could you please send some of the sunshine down south for tomorrow please.

Nice day today.
Got out for a long walk, once we managed to get out of the village. Saw a few people we don't normally see, and sorry to hear the wife of one of the couples we used to see when we walked our dog has passed away. Weather was nice and warm. Raining now though.

Our 3rd nice sunny but still chilly day on the trot. We had a short shower last night but managed 4 walks with Flyte in the dry today. Car all hoovered out and clean so hopefully won't have to do that again before we head off on our next trip. Started on the polishing of the van's furniture and should finish that tomorrow.

We will be using mainly CLs for our trip, but could well start off at Englethwaite Hall CC and might call in at the Clachan site at Killin. I think that we'll only go as far north as Dornoch this time but all dates & sites to sort out yet. We will be away for about 9 weeks or so I would think.

I finished work on time last night which made a change from the previous day. Working 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, Saturday. Luckily, the rain subsided when it was time for work. Just very light rain so I didn't get too wet!

I don't think so cariadon. Just minimum wage of £7.50 an hour!

At the moment I'm at the Smart service in Portslade to have some repairs done to the nearside wing mirror. It happened when I was reversing into a parking space in Shoreham and got knocked by a post. They said it will take an hour and a half to do it, so hopefully ready by 10:00 a.m.

Grey here again today, no breeze 5.7c rain forecast now and throughout the day. my brother calling in for some requisites for mum as we are without our car and he' going over this afternoon. We have friends coming for a cuppa and a catch up this afternoon.

Enjoy your cuppa and catch up Bakers2. You feel quite 'lost' without a car don't you.
We are taking 2 of the grandsons to see the film Peter Rabbit this afternoon so will hopefully forget the weather for a while.

The wing mirror repairs were all completed by 09:30. The bill came to £222.24, rather more than I expected! So we drove back to the site along the sea front and through Goring. We've just got back. Whilst there, I called into the sales department and met the salesman to check on the progress of the Smart Electric but no delivery date yet.
They washed and cleaned the car inside and out but now the tyres have got dirty again because of having to drive back on to our grass pitch.

No point in that, EasyT because I'll need to drive it off again this evening to get to work and they'll just get muddy again!

Taking Mrs WN and MIL out to lunch as it's MIL's birthday today. 85 years young. Later on they are going to Theatre Clwyd to see a live relay from the Met Opera of Mozarts Cosi fan Tutte, so I'll have the run of the house. I'm not a big fan of opera, although I must admit to enjoying the music of Mozarts lighter ones, such as The Marriage of Figaro and also the music of Cosi but I can do without actually seeing a live performance.
When the two ladies went on holiday to Lake Constance a few years ago they went to see a wonderful performance of The Magic Flute . Taken there by boat to Brigenz to see a open air spectacular show. Even Mrs WN was impressed.
It's not far from where we live to the Theatre and now that Mrs WN is mobile she can drive, saving me to enjoy a drink or two.
Whatever you are up to enjoy yourselves.

Thank you I'm sure we will, plenty to gossip about 😂😂.
Just adjusting to not having a car. We live within walking distance of our town/city and a couple of supermarkets - just carrying heavy shopping like potatoes etc 😂. Just have to think differently. We have always been a one car family for this reason with an exception when our daughter learnt and bought a car at 20, and when my father in law died. OH was quite sentimental about the car, nothing else particularly. I had it for a while then our son had it to drive to uni at Teesside eventually trading it in for his first new car 3 years ago. I just need to get my head around bus timetables, mum's village is now well served for buses as they go through on their way to Stansted airport. Unlike when I grew up one an hour in alternate directions last one leaving town at 9.30pm.😲. If all else fails we have bikes, pedal variety 😂.
Enjoy the film, lots about it on NZ TV as for some reason it was filmed there. You might catch dodgy accents too as ?some/all? actors are Kiwi.
We love the cinema experience in NZ and got one of us in free on the loyalty system this year 😉 can recommend Finding your feet for good entertainment. It's on in town at the moment thought about gong again, price in £ about the same as NZ $ which hover around 1.89 1.95 to the £ at the mo 😲😲😲 and sound is loud so decided against it. Also noted that 'blockbuster' films attract another £1 premium on top of seat price!

Life's like that! Everything going smoothly one moment and then disaster strikes! Looking on the bright side, at least it got fixed in time for tonights 5 hour shift!

Grey day but dry, no wind.
Still feeling rough, cough almost gone but now I've got prickly nose and painful sinus, keep sneezing and eyes running, almost like hay fever.
Will have to give myself a shake as we could do with some milk and seeing as OH can't drive at the moment your truly will have to go and get some. Unless I can persuade OH to walk into village and pick some up
Hope to feel better tomorrow so I can go and see Mum haven't seen her in 4 weeks but I don't think the home would be to pleased if I spread my germs around.
Enjoy your catch up with your friend Bakers2.

Tammygirl I hope you feel better soon. The symptoms you describe are very similar to those I've been suffering for 3 weeks. I blame the plane, we had 'coughers' on both legs of the journey home from NZ on the last leg they were immediately in front and behind. I put us (OH occasionally has a sympton) not going down with anything 'properly' to having a good immune system stopping things developing 😉. I've had enough now and want it to propely go away 😤. Maybe a glimpse of that big yellow thing above would help 😢
Oneputt have a great time with the grandtwins periods memories for both sides.

I wish you better, have you been on a plane or just got caught a bug?
Personally I have an odd days of being energyless but really just under the weather.
Never taken this long to readjust to time zone but never come back to such cold conditions 😭😢
