Dog frendly beaches in Spain during May

Any info would be great.

We are looking for recommendations for Dog friendly beaches in May while we are in Spain.

All we would like to do is spend 1hour or so on a beach where we can swim including dog, not interested in the sunbathing bit,

Any campsite sites information down the east coast near said beaches would be really helpful as well.

If it is like the UK dogs are band from many beaches during the summer months but there are still a few dog friendly ones around.

    It's a few years ago now, but we stayed at Camping International Calonge, near to Playa d'Aro,  and across the footbridge was a wonderful cove with sandy beach, rocks, and a beautiful coastal path.  The German couple in the next caravan had a dog (Sammy) and he came down to the beach with us almost every day.  I would guess that we were there over the Spring Bank Holiday as that's when we used to holiday............. and no one bothered about the dog at all.

    We haven’t found a dog friendly beach in Spain at all. They all have “no pets” signs up. Very frustrating. Portugal is slightly different in that dogs are allowed on some out of season. It’s not easy with a dog in either country though as they’re not allowed on public transport either unless they’re caged.

    Thank you Val & Nora for taking the time for your replies.

    Looks like we are going to be very limited with our choice of coastal areas, Val we are looking into that area now.

    Torre la sal 2 at Oropesa, a few miles north of Bonterra Park. Good site and lovely beach that is dog friendly.
