Every so often last night and this morning I am getting 'The Essential Maintenance' message when I try to log on. Is anyone else having the same trouble?

Coming down the M5 yesterday, there were signs that the inside lane was closed and lots of flashing lights. I was very glad it was, the size of the potholes they were doing a temporary repair on would have wreaked havoc if the caravan had hit them. There were plenty of other less severe ones, some of which it was impossible to avoid. On a high speed main arterial link it is shocking. Literally.☹️

I stay permanently logged in Millie so no problem here.
Have booked 2 sites for over there this morning, but as the ferry is later than normal and its a big holiday weekend in some part of Germany decided not to take the chance.
Be off to use my new boys toy shortly, got a new HP washer so car cleaning on the agenda. It helps that the sun is out and the wind has dropped considerably.

I couldn't log in at all when I looked in later last night, one or two people seemed to be getting through.
Taking about road repairs the A303 is closed overnight from the South Petherton roundabout 9pm - 6am for surface repairs, the diversion is through Ilminster. Hope they get it done before the holiday rush.

Yes I got it earlier this morning too.

We went to the bank and then on to a shop in Worthing. We got all that done quicker than anticipated so we're a bit early for my wife's appointment at the surgery but it didn't seem worth going back to the caravan just to come out again half an hour later. So looks like we're in for a long wait!

What a lovely morning sun shining ,spring has sprung ,green "haze" on the trees and spring flowers everywhere for our walk this morning with Rosa,
Off to Cirencester in the morning ,have not been there for about 15yrs,its the first stop on our annual trip to meet up with a group of friends in the Cotswolds, second site is Notgrove then on to Broadway before home maybe? and the weather can do its worst ,but do we care ,we will be snug in our little mobile cottage where ever it is pitched

We didn't have to wait long in the surgery after all. My wife was seen earlier and the appointment didn't take long. We're now back at the caravan having a cup of tea. The warden is mowing the grass at the moment which is a good sign. Once the grass is cut, he'll be ready to put in the marker pegs for the seasonal pitches.
After we have had our tea, we plan to go shopping at the Tesco Extra next door. We did think of going out to WWT but I'm still trying to recover from extra hours of work and don't fancy driving and walking around outdoors in the cold. It's nice and warm and cosy in the caravan, so best to relax, listen to music, enjoy a drink and meal and catch up on some sleep!

We've already chosen a pitch out of the the four that were left! The warden said he will move our purple marker closer to the road so that we don't have to drive too far across the grass.

Good Luck with your advice & decisions HD !
As one of B.T's Finest (
) I took the 'Early Route' back in '95 and still have the Tee Shirt " Release 95 " to prove it .
If the truth be told I'm none too sure which was happiest at my departure, Yours Truly or the Company but we both appear to have survived quite well

Ditto, ABM. That was the best thing BT did for me!

Same here HD. I was lucky enough to be able to finish my career at 46, spent the next nine years doing what I wanted to do, rather than had to do, until caring for parents took over. Do it, enjoy it, hopefully while you are both fit and well enough to get the most from it. Money helps, but it certainly isn't the most important thing, better to be getting by and healthy, than rich as Croesus and can't do a blasted thing!
Still a way to go yet for my works pension, and state pension even further away. Going to have a ball hopefully!
