If you read my post thoroughly and completely you would have noted it was in response to the included quote of Post 125 on Page 13 in this thread, that raised the unit price.
May I suggest you re-read the whole of my post 126 on Page 13 to then learn the context of the written word in the 2 dimensional world of an internet forum.

To paraphrase your working life, 'must try harder' or 'only answer the question asked', not invent, and definitely don't then write down your incorrect interpretation of what you thought was said and subsequently get it wrong.
Not only do you get marked down, you look silly in front of the class of your peers

Talking of looking silly......... 10/10 for that, KS.

well and not aimed at you in any way of course, when someone in the class (usually the class clown) doesn't know the answer to a question they usually get around it by talking waffle to buy some time. Of course this is not you in any way shape or form
I didn't answer any question btw, I asked two polite questions of you which you have not yet answered they were:
What would you want the club to do for families like yourself?
The club could half it's Friday night's fee (,) would that lessen the travelling problems? Would you then go?

Not always BB, I found the "effluent" reference hilarious, sort of confirms my musings on parts of the South! Mind you.......

interesting point ET, according to the forces of darkness (ie the English staff) is that my usage is the current usage and to cut in half, to half something, half it's budget... is now an expression which stands for the verb 'to halve' - take it up with them

thank you - finally teacher bashing by an expert

You knew it was only a matter of time, Corners.

halves is the plural of half, but ummm...

Don’t they normally say "A game of two halfs"?
"A game of two halves" just doesn’t sound right. 🤔

Plural is "halves". I know, I got a proper English Language Grade A "O" Level, back when exams were/was hard! Not like they is now.

Two halves, and some crumbs!
And strong thumbs, Bonio's are tough!
