If you read my post thoroughly and completely you would have noted it was in response to the included quote of Post 125 on Page 13 in this thread, that raised the unit price.

May I suggest you re-read the whole of my post 126 on Page 13 to then learn the context of the written word in the 2 dimensional world of an internet forum.

To paraphrase your working life, 'must try harder' cool or 'only answer the question asked', not invent, and definitely don't then write down your incorrect interpretation of what you thought was said and subsequently get it wrong.

Not only do you get marked down, you look silly in front of the class of your peers tongue-out

Thanks AD. I noted you also understood my humour and wordplay. The late Terry Wogan has a lot to answer for cool

I do often wonder if interpretation and context are twisted for malice or peer applause on forums tongue-out

I certainly get your point....why should 'grass cutting duties' interfere with managing arrivals on to site earlier if there are spaces...which there always will be....

even with a full site (and my two example sites are always full) the first departers (from 8 onwards) are always earlier than the first arrivals (from around 10 onwards).......so there will be a space ot two more than required...

reception staff don't cut the grass (or clean the toilets or manage the maintenance....etc...) at the sites I described....and many, many more no doubt.

the frontline staff are there to welcome you and get you onto site as smoothly and safely as possible but not to impose arbitrary entry restrictions when it makes no sense to do so.....

ok, the club rules are what they are, and we adhere to them, but this doesn't preclude my noticing (and commenting on) the fact that it sometimes works better elsewhere...and it certainly does in the examples I gave.

however, for those who know no different, I can see their reticence...

how can any site manage arrivals better than a club site?...undecided

well and not aimed at you in any way of course, when someone in the class (usually the class clown) doesn't know the answer to a question they usually get around it by talking waffle to buy some time. Of course this is not you in any way shape or form

I didn't answer any question btw, I asked two polite questions of you which you have not yet answered they were:

What would you want the club to do for families like yourself?

The club could half it's Friday night's fee (,) would that lessen the travelling problems?  Would you then go?

interesting point ET, according to the forces of darkness (ie the English staff) is that my usage is the current usage and to cut in half, to half something, half it's budget... is now an expression which stands for the verb 'to halve' - take it up with themsmile

you would, if you broke it accurately, have halved it and have two half sized pieces in my form of English.

Don’t they normally say "A game of two halfs"?

"A game of two halves" just doesn’t sound right. 🤔

    From a simple Google search

Showing results for a game of two halves
Search instead for a game of two halfs

So Google wood agree with me as in 'two halves'
