This weekend we are paying £23.10 per night on a Honey Pot site. Booked last Saturday online as it's nigh on impossible to get in there of a weekend if you miss out on Frenzy Day, apparently, must be all those block bookers
We are at the same site over the Easter weekend, booked on Frenzy Day whilst in the middle of the Bay of Biscay on board a cruise ship. Fee is £38.40 per night for the same unit and number of people. A premium of £15.30 per night for the Bank Holiday in school holidays.
Both visits are non awning pitches.
As we are visiting late father in law grave on his anniversary we are happy to make a weekend of it to see family over Easter. Not paid that high a fee at Easter before, even on beach side full facility sites.
Going forward the BH premiums mean we will do less nights and at other sites where fees are less. Thats how family adventurers new to caravanning look at things, moreso as secondary school pupils have other demands on the family budget. It's different to when we were the children in the family

Well yes but firstly how many members actually think that? So far 1 or 2 on here on this thread? Looking at July and August it appears quite popular enough with quite a lot of the dates fully booked and many others showing less than 5 pitches.
Secondly what will this 'view' expressed on here actually achieve? What proportion of club sites users (and payers) use CT?
What will the club take more notice of? One or two 'grumbles' on here or people not booking? The only way to achieve any reduction is not to go?

Threads on this subject come up every year, often more than once! The point is, that in any particular part of the country where there is a club site there will be many alternatives, some more expensive, some less. It's simply a matter of doing ones research and shopping around for the best deal at the best price. As far as I can see, club sites come out pretty much on the median as far as prices are concerned. So sometimes we use them and sometimes we use alternatives. Location is the main priority every time.

£112 when i was at school
Sorry, JVB, but Cody has stated that the CMC would lose a couple of hundred pounds and he is more or less correct. Assuming he would be staying for at least 10 nights then the club is losing the total revenue not just the difference between the 2 sites quoted, which I assume is how you are arriving at £112 (14x£8).
It would be interesting if anyone could get their hands on the occupancy rate for those sites where there is good competition for places. If occupancy rates were to be less than 60% full then maybe the club do need to look at their rates as presumably for Easter they would have no problem filling the site if they were competitive. Don't know how you would get your hands on such facts though.

The OP mentioned a full two weeks which is 14 x 29 = £406, a very substantial loss in anyone's vocabulary
Even 10 nights would be £290.

Of course you have the right to post on the club pricing structure, did I say otherwise? But equally you should respect other posts that perhaps don't share your views rather than try and insult them?

(which btw wasn't in your OP)
If that was the point, it is no use asking us on here why the club are charging such prices, I, and I would think most on here, do not know the answer. I suggest you write to the club?

Unscientific I know and out of date but: looking at Google Maps the CC site seems twice as popular s Gwithian farm when the Google mapping was updated. The CC site is not competing for quite the same customer base as the CC site is members only

I've never seen club sites in Cornwall full at Easter, they get busy over the holiday weekend and that's it. Most won't travel the distance at this time of the year. If Easter's late there's a chance of better weather and a few last minute bookings.

Cody - you could go to Ayr Holiday park, St Ives @ £32.50 a night over the Easter period I believe- van, 2 adults and EHU!
